apocalypsosWoohoo! I finally got my LOTR tat! *user does dance of joy, but is really careful of her upper left arm, which is still a little sore*

tree220 and I went to the tattoo party, and luckily I got to be first. The guy spooked me a couple of times, like when we talked about the payment bit (that was when batting my eyelashes and looking cute may have gotten my price cut waaaaaay down) and when he said he was doing it freehand rather than with a stencil. But he did so good, I can hardly believe how much I like it.
tree220 did scare the hell out of me, though, by asking me if it was tattooed backwards. Jeez, don't ask me stuff like that when I have to go to Dragoncon next weekend. I could be wandering around amongst the LOTR-knowledgable rabble thinking I have that whole "One ring ..." verse tattooed on my arm when I've really got, "Aragorn, my love, toss me across the nearest fence and ravage me senseless, you moody fiend, you!" Which is nice, but I'd hate to think that Boromir and I shared the same tattoo. (Kidding! Kidding! Please don't kill me. *whimper*)
It does suck that it cost a hundred and forty, though. Not that I'm complaining too much. I have enough to at least eat next weekend at Dragoncon. And hey, if I run out, I can always take a flying leap at James Marsters and they'll feed me as soon as we get to the prison. Good plan, that one.
