Mar. 22nd, 2005 10:39 amThomas Haden Church is playing the villain in Spider-Man 3, but they won't say who. Well, great, now I have to spend the rest of the day wracking my Captain-Trips-addled brain trying to figure out who he's playing.
In other news, I just cracked 90k on The Monsters of Minooka, which I might have to change to The Monsters of Moosic simply based on the fact that cramming Minooka in there is harder than putting Moosic in there. I have a very, very baaaaad idea. *cackles maniacally*
Also, for Arrested Development fans, Jason Bateman and Amy Poehler are making a romantic comedy together. The story centers on a man (Bateman) who meets the girl of his dreams -- while on his honeymoon with someone else (Poehler). *snerk* This, I gotta see. :)

Date: 2005-03-22 04:11 pm (UTC)(and I actually kinda sorta slashed Spidey/Venom starting as an itty bitty baby fangirl before I knew what slash was)Who else could he play...Hobgoblin? There's a big emphasis on the Goblins in the movies, and Sam has said he wants to do something unexpected with Harry's development, so it could be Spidey vs. Green Goblin 2 vs. Hobgoblin (if it Spidey & Green Goblin 2 vs. Hobgoblin, or Spidey & Green Goblin 2 vs. anybody, I will die squeeeing). Who else? He could be the Chameleon, or a very young Vulture. (Dear Sam Raimi: you already made Doctor Octopus sexy. If you make the Vulture sexy, my brain will NEVER forgive you.)
I wonder if Curt Connors will turn into the Lizard, or if he'll stay an injoke? I'll be happy either way; I LOVE Dylan Baker.
The Spider-Man movies get all the best people!!! EEEEEEEEE!

Date: 2005-03-22 05:52 pm (UTC)I think the chances of him being in both are slim as a main character, but if Jessica Alba can be in two comics movies, why not?!
I'd vote for Deadpool, if I had to choose. Which I don't want to.
Hang on, if he was in both, that would be three, counting Blade III.
Shh, don't tell anyone.

Where can I find more of this? Preferably for cheap, since I have no money?

Deadpooool!
Date: 2005-03-22 09:14 pm (UTC)If you're not an online filesharing type, you can find backissues of "Deadpool" pretty easily at most comic book stores. If you ARE an online filesharing type, please tell me you have Bittorrent! If so, you can download a pack (about 655MB), that I've seen at various torrent-sites, of almost all of Deadpool's appearances in comics. This link was at the first torrent-site I tried and appears to be working; if that doesn't work just search for "Deadpool" at other sites and you'll find a working torrent eventually. Once you've downloaded it, you can read the issues (still in ZIP/CBR form) on your computer with this program.
Deadpool is currently co-starring in an odd-but-adorable-pseudo-buddy-cop-but-not-really title with Cable, named (surprise!) "Cable & Deadpool". I haven't read much of it myself, but I've heard good things about it: the first issues are out in tradeback here and here (well, it'll be out soon).
Deadpool is also a huge favorite at the comic-scans community

One, Two, Three
I was going to upload "Baby's First Deadpool" for you as a sample, but I can't find my disc. Wah! Now I won't be happy until I've found it.
