Now, that is my kind of article. I wonder if you can take orders off it like a Chinese menu. "I'd like the number 3, the number 5, and the number 9, please."

Oh, it's so pretty out today, all sunny and warm and in the 80s. And apparently, there's more of it coming tomorrow. Then on Thursday, it gets rainy and the temperature drops fifteen degrees, and it's going to stay that was for the rest of the weekend that my parents are supposed to come in ... like an omen. But, you know, not like the Omen, because I only have a "4" on my head instead of a "666". My evil counter's busted. :)

So far, the only place we've established in regards to where I'm taking my parents is the zoo. My mother won't come specifically to see me, but there's a zoo, so it got her down here eventually. ;) And you know what that means. That means another photo spread as I take my mommy to the zoo this weekend. It's more like taking a toddler to the zoo than you think.

*sigh* Can't I just stay home and write today? Or better yet, go somewhere outside that's nice and sunny and write? I've got three fanfics I could work on, I still have to finish fixing the errors in my first draft from the hard copy, and anything's better than another night of, "Here, could you just do this one more thing before you leave?" and making me so late I don't get home until quarter after eleven. Sheesh.

I choose armageddon by superintelligent robots. That one sounds good.

They completely missed Moravec's point. He's talking about the Singularity, not an armageddon. (Admittedly, "Singularity" is Vernor Vinge's word for it, but still.)

Yes, but still. Armageddon by superintelligent robots sounds good. Although I suppose it could just end up being The Matrix, which would actually be terrible for me, as I can't really pull off the vinyl look.

So, I'm *not* the only person in the world who will visit a town just because it has a zoo? Woo! I'm not as weird as I thought.

I love supervolcanoes. When Yellowstone blows, I'm bringing popcorn. :)
