An interesting article about how gay marriage has affected homosexual relationships. I should point out that it's talking about it from the point of view of, "Okay, when do we take this relationship to that level?"

Did you get the feeling from the article that there is a tremendous push to get married similar to the push women had in the past?

I think the community as a whole has to go through the steps that women went through during the l60s and 70s, learning that it's okay not to be married.

it's good for them that it has become acceptable for women to propose to men, otherwise they would have the additional problem working out who was the bitch in the relationship, e.g. "hmmm, if I ask him to marry me, he might think that I think he's my bitch" etc.

You'd think the diamond industry would be all for gay marriage - or at least lesbian marriage. Then they could advertise matching engagement rings for the happy couple.

I don't know that it's a "push" exactly, so much as a combined, "This option is now available," and, "Do it now while you can before it maybe gets outlawed again..."
