What is he doing, you ask? He's arguing that the American Idol results from last night are a "red-state victory."

Nice thought in theory, but in practice multitude of parties usually adds to the political importance of the fringe. Can you imagine Buchanan or Kucinich or Pat Robertson, not as marginalized part of a umbrella party but the guy who can swing the balance of a coalition government?
