There are two asshats who fill in for O'Reilly when he's busy. One of them is hosting the show right now.

What is he doing, you ask? He's arguing that the American Idol results from last night are a "red-state victory."

...

I hope you're smacking his head. He sounds like he needs it.

There was a blurb on NPR the other day about how Red Staters dominate shows like American Idol and reality tv in general.

So much for the "Liberal Media"

::bites tongue to prevent utterance of an observation that may be offensive to my friends who are 'log cabin' Republicans::

Bleh. The Log Cabiners need to break off. Actually, both sets of moderates need to break off from the extremists on the left and right. Form a new party, something to shake things up.

Nice thought in theory, but in practice multitude of parties usually adds to the political importance of the fringe. Can you imagine Buchanan or Kucinich or Pat Robertson, not as marginalized part of a umbrella party but the guy who can swing the balance of a coalition government?

Brrr.

I would prefer a multiple party system as opposed to the one party system we seem to be going towards.

Yes, yes. Fascism is just around the corner.

Hey, at least he's doing a good job of replacing O'Reilly now, ain't he?

*sigh* Thank Joss I don't live in the States, I don't think I could survive O'Reilly.

Because, you know, it's not like Bo Bice is FROM ALABAMA ANYWAY.

And, y'know, that guy probably still has a more coherent logic process than O'Reilly.

The terrifying thing is that usually, this guy is worse than O'Reilly. You wouldn't think there is such a thing, and yet? *eye roll*

Oh, and he played a clip of Bo performing "Sweet Home Alabama" and said he was more of a John Kerry candidate because he was performing rock. Bwu-huh?

The only music from the south is country, duh. Noone from the south plays in a rock band! Nobody! NOBODY!

I think Alabama was a lot closer than anyone expected in 2004, but still. I'm trapped in a RED STATE.

Well, most people expect it to be about 90-10, and it was what, 70-30?

Something like 65-35, I think. Not 51-49 or anything like that, but still.

Since when did AI become a presidential election?

More people probably voted in AI than in the election, so there is that.
