I just took a peek at Watch with Kristin's last chat transcripts before I left for work.

How fantastic was that finale? So good! And for now, all I can tell you (because it's a long summer and far too soon to spill) is that the person at the door is indeed a guy, and indeed, someone whom many of you want to see there.

For once, let her be right. And for God's sake, let her mean Logan, goddamn it.

Now, let me establish something. I love Duncan. I do. He's cute, and he's sweet, and he's smart. I think he and Veronica look cute together, and I really like it when the two of them share scenes together. However, I can't begin to describe how much I DON'T want them to hook back up.

Why?

The boy slept with his sister.

Okay, so Veronica really wasn't his sister. And they were both high on GHB.

But as far as he knew, the boy slept with his sister.

I know it was a case of mistaken identity (regarding Veronica's true paternity). But I don't want them to hook back up again. That one night in which the words "rape" and "incest" could have been used over and over again to describe it (questionably or not) is hanging over that entire relationship, and NO. I love them both, but NO.

Does that mean that if he shows up at her door, they'll hook back up again next year? No. I have no trouble with him going there, but I don't want him to go there if that's their aim in the end.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO. Pre-the-night-of-Shelly's-party, they're okay together. Afterwards ... not so much.

It can be Weevil, or Wallace, or Logan, or even Deputy Leo. Any of those will make me happy.

Then I'm guessing it's Logan. I don't know why - the series just feels to me as though it's put across Duncan as representative of the past and Logan as representative of the present and possible future.

I don't really care which one it is on a personal level, so if I'm wrong I won't mind, but yeah that's my guess.

Does Duncan even know they aren't sibs? I remember Keith telling Veronica, but I don't remember Veronica ever telling Duncan...

He does now. In the last episode, Veronica told him Keith had a DNA test done and she wasn't his sister.

Ooooh... okay "love interest". It would have made sense for it to be Wallace or Deputy Leo, but Wallace hasn't really been shown to be a love interest and I wouldn't say that Deputy Leo counts before. It could be Duncan or Logan (or in my mind Weevil). It likely isn't Duncan as you figure he would be with his family at this time. I think it is Logan. I really want it to be Logan. But because we all want it to be Logan so much, it probably makes it too obvious.

The thing that gets me about the Wallace option is that he works emotionally, but not realistically. His mother's not home, and he's got to watch Darrell. Why would he cart his little brother over to her house at three in the morning (because he wouldn't leave his brother alone; otherwise, he wouldn't be the kid we adore) if he knew she was safe? I mean, okay, maybe he wouldn't want her to be alone, but ... I don't know. Every time I think about how it should be Wallace, something about it bothers me at the same time.

Weevil is not allowed to show up without Logan. Because at that point, if he shows up and it's without Logan, it's because he fell off the bridge. That's when you'll hear a million fangirls scream "NOOOOOOOOOO!" and then keel over into silence. ;)

OMG I have this awful feeling it's going to be Duncan at her door. Why? Because I don't think she would have greeted Logan as sweetly as she did - especially after everything they'd gone through earlier. It's not that I don't like Duncan, because I do, I just don't want him and Veronica together. ::sigh:: I'd like to hold out hope that it's Logan, but honestly, I've been beaten down way too much by Mr. Whedon to hope for anything good anymore.

I can handle it being Duncan if it's like I've heard other fans suggesting, that it's a sign of her closing a chapter in her past and that if he does try anything, she'll realize she doesn't want to be with him anymore. He can show up, just as long as it's not so that they can hook up for their TWU LUV FOR--

I don't see Logan as a terribly healthy relationship choice, either. It's really unfortunate that the one potential love interest for Veronica who isn't criminal, crazy, or obnoxious is Deputy Leo, a guy who can't enunciate a thing. But hey, that's what Season 2 is for, right? :)

And I hope it's Wallace at the door. I love Wallace.

TV Guide is having a chat with Rob Thomas but the TVG writer says he won't look at any questions that use the words "door" "who's" or "behind". I'm tempted to come up with a clever way to rephrase the question, even though he won't give it to RT anyway.

I read on the tvtome forum a theory that Veronica called Weevil when she couldn't reach Logan and had him go and find Logan. I like that idea.
