[livejournal.com profile] penmage, thank you soooooo much! Now I have new stuff to listen to and new stuff to read. I'm all contented-like. :)

In other news, I finally got around to watching Napoleon Dynamite.

... ooo-kay.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] taraljc did that fandom meme and broke it down into fandoms that fic has been written for, fandoms that fic hasn't been written for, etc. Which amuses me, because it made me look at the list of fandoms I've written fic for -- Highlander, Terminator, X-Men movieverse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jake 2.0, Charmed, My Secret Identity, The Tomorrow People (New Series), Lost, Veronica Mars, The 4400, Desperate Housewives, The Sixth Sense, The Shawshank Redemption, and Dead Like Me. Sheesh, I'll just write fic for a fandom at the drop of a hat, won't I? *snerk*

'In other news, I finally got around to watching Napoleon Dynamite.'

Grandma said she doesn't want you here when she gets back because you've been ruining everybody's lives and eating all our steak.

...I'm sorry, any movie with lines like that has my undying affection. :)

I'm still trying to decide whether I like it or not. I'm leaning towards liking it, but with an extreme amount of guilt. ;)

It struck me as a sort of deadpan Martian version of Rushmore. (Which is one of my top ten movies.) I think you have to be in the right mood for it. It was a trip seeing the little girl from Waterworld grown up a bit as the girl he plays tetherball with at the end. :)

Oh, you got it! What books did I send you? As for the music, I have been listening to it nonstop, and I love it. Enjoy!

I haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite yet. I think I'll need to be in a "I feel like watching a movie but I don't have anything BUGFUCKING BIZARRE ENOUGH on-hand - to Blockbuster!" mood for it.

...of course, the phrase bugfucking bizarre has given me an intense need to watch Brazil. Which will be even more bizarre than normal since I watched Pirates recently and always call Elisabeth's dad "SAAAAM!", anyway. X)

I haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite yet and don't plan too. I used to be that socially awkward geek and don't want to relive the experience, even vicariously. Thanks but no thanks.
