That's it. I'm just going to turn Dead Men in Dark Suits into a summer NaNo. Heck, I've got an entire week off coming up to work on it, and with the rate I've been working at, I could use the deadline. Let's say ... um ... I have to finish the rewrite by Labor Day. There. Here's hoping that works. *crosses fingers* (You realize, of course, that as a group you all have the right to throw things at my head to get me to finish. I say this because on the bus to work, I had the passing thought of writing a crossover story between this and Monsters of Moosic, and helloooooooooo, spare time I can't afford to waste.)

Last night, I tried to dye my hair blonde and ended up with a slightly lighter shade of red. Which I knew was coming, but still. I'm trying to look on the bright side. If I keep lightening the red like this, sooner or later it'll be pink, and with all of the oranges and yellows I wear, I'll look like a number-2 pencil. Which, to be honest, isn't so much a bright side as much as a side that understandably will get me mocked by small children on playgrounds.

Also, James Doohan died. Damn it.

I have been meaning to tell you just what a fabulous title I Dead Men in Dark Suits is. It's seriously intriguing - could be funny, could be creepy - and exactly the sort of book I would pick up to read. *g*

Personally, I think the story sounds interesting, and I understand that sometimes you just lose the urge to finish something you've started. As for the hair and outfit thing...there's not much I can say about that... ^_^*
