Jul. 23rd, 2005 08:31 amI have never really found Joaquin Phoenix all that attractive. And then I saw the trailer for Walk The Line. GUH. Hellooooooooooo, nurse.
Also, I've been watching clips of Sky High, because I am a dork. (I convinced my brother to go see it with me next weekend. I thought I was going to lose my case until I got him to admit he saw Herbie: Fully Loaded, which he described as "the last movie where Lindsay Lohan will look human." *snerk* My brother is awesome.) I think my favorite part of those clips is that the kid gets his powers, and his dad gets him an Xbox. HEE.
Am currently watching Titanic, though mostly because I have to write about the ship later and I want to see my pretty boat first, and also to play Spot the Ioan. Ioan Gruffudd in an officer's uniform ... yum. (LOOK, ANOTHER EDIT: You know, the romance may be lame and stupid, but the sinking still makes me cry like an itty bitty baby. And the Strausses lying in bed together! *whimper*)
In non-movie-related news, you know what the best thing about my visit home will be? I can wear skirts for an entire week. YAAAAY! (If the tomboyish six-year-old me knew grown-up me would be so excited about wearing skirts all the time, she'd kick my ass. Heh.)
EDIT: Yesterday I was listening to the Factor again, which I'm already a glutton for punishment for doing, but O'Reilly wasn't there and one of the usual assholes was covering for him. I swear to God, I already have the impression O'Reilly's listeners are on crack, but the real jerks come out of the woodwork when he leaves. Yesterday I learned from the callers that Islam is based completely and totally on violence, the British will realize that we're always right about terrorism the more London gets bombed, Rove should get a medal for revealing a traitorous CIA agent to the media, and every Muslim moved out of New York after September 11th because they were all guilty. Boy, it's a good thing I listen, huh? *eyeroll*
Honestly, not enough *headdesk* in the world ...
