Aug. 8th, 2005 09:47 amThe status of ye olde works in progress following the week-long vacation:
1. Dead Men In Dark Suits -- Admittedly, I expected to get more done than I did, which was ... well, mostly planning. There was a town carnival and visiting relatives and parties and baseball games and movies, so you'll forgive me if my ability to find free time to sit down and write down something substantial was about zero. It's sort of tied into the fact that my mother can sense me getting comfortable from a mile away and immediately call to ask if I can do the laundry. Neat trick, that. *sigh*
2. Monsters of Moosic and The Walking Dead of Wilkes-Barre -- Okay, those two are a different story, because being back in PA kind of helped with getting in the mood to work on them. Plus, since Monsters just needs editing rather than rewriting, I could work on it in the car when we were riding places and on the bus easier than I could write up more stuff for DMIDS. So I'm halfway done with the current edit of Monsters, got some ideas about how to switch around a few things in Walking Dead, and came up with some new plot stuff for Vampires of Vandling and Sorcerers of Scranton. (Hee. Planning three books ahead is fun. :))
3. Moonlight Hall -- Still haven't gotten a chance to work on it.
4. Dead End -- Same. Although I did get a few new ideas, but still ... yeah, I've got nothing started yet. Not that I don't want to work on it, because I'm itching to write more apocalyptic stuff. Oh, yeah. *eg*

Date: 2005-08-08 02:07 pm (UTC)Yours, too? Maybe it's a superpower they give you when you become a mom. Mine used to use hers to call me once a week at 8:45 on Tuesdays, but only when it was a *new* and suspenseful episode of Buffy--never when it was a rerun or a dull ep.

Date: 2005-08-09 03:05 am (UTC)Although at this point, Monsters will probably be first, since it's the closest to completion. I just have to sketch out the plans for the five books I want to write in the series. (Well, five for Sean anyway. ;))
