Aug. 22nd, 2005 10:26 amTalked to my parents last night, and while the apartment isn't a done deal just yet, from the sound of it, as long as there aren't any bodies on the kitchen floor or interdimensional portals in the closet, it's mine. MINE, MINE, MINE. Honestly, at this point, I don't care if it's a dump. I can clean up a dump. And I have a day bed (hell, I'll take it) and two butterfly chairs, which is better than nothing.
Speaking of the day bed, since I now don't have to buy one, I'm splurging on the bedding. And I really, really hope I can get this. Purple and flowers and striped and SO ME. *covets* (I just signed up for eBay again after years of being without. Yay for Paypal. ;))
And you know, I've been thinking about last night's 4400. The thing is, Isabelle being examined by the folks at the 4400 Center is supposed to be some sort of creepy, underhanded thing, right? But this is what gets me -- Isabelle did nothing. When Richard and Lily busted down that door, she wasn't even crying, at least not until Lily picked her up.
Let's be honest -- if Isabelle is threatened, she defends herself. She destroys a store and forces a trio of rednecks to kill themselves or keel over and ... heck, she even harmed Jordan Collier from the womb. Yet when the 4400 Center's scientists examined her, she did nothing.
Slimeball had a point, as big of an asshole as he is. Isabelle is the Rosetta Stone of the 4400. They don't know where she came from and they don't know why she is the way she is. And so many of the 4400's abilities have been, from what Marco and the gang have theorized, specifically to teach the people of the past things they otherwise wouldn't have known. I mean, imagine if Kevin could have a go at examining Isabelle.
I seriously think Lily is freaking out over nothing. Yes, she's protective of her baby, but lady, your baby once blew up a shop to protect herself and made a guy blow out his brains with a shotgun. She's good, really.
