Talked to my parents last night, and while the apartment isn't a done deal just yet, from the sound of it, as long as there aren't any bodies on the kitchen floor or interdimensional portals in the closet, it's mine. MINE, MINE, MINE. Honestly, at this point, I don't care if it's a dump. I can clean up a dump. And I have a day bed (hell, I'll take it) and two butterfly chairs, which is better than nothing.

Speaking of the day bed, since I now don't have to buy one, I'm splurging on the bedding. And I really, really hope I can get this. Purple and flowers and striped and SO ME. *covets* (I just signed up for eBay again after years of being without. Yay for Paypal. ;))

And you know, I've been thinking about last night's 4400. The thing is, Isabelle being examined by the folks at the 4400 Center is supposed to be some sort of creepy, underhanded thing, right? But this is what gets me -- Isabelle did nothing. When Richard and Lily busted down that door, she wasn't even crying, at least not until Lily picked her up.

Let's be honest -- if Isabelle is threatened, she defends herself. She destroys a store and forces a trio of rednecks to kill themselves or keel over and ... heck, she even harmed Jordan Collier from the womb. Yet when the 4400 Center's scientists examined her, she did nothing.

Slimeball had a point, as big of an asshole as he is. Isabelle is the Rosetta Stone of the 4400. They don't know where she came from and they don't know why she is the way she is. And so many of the 4400's abilities have been, from what Marco and the gang have theorized, specifically to teach the people of the past things they otherwise wouldn't have known. I mean, imagine if Kevin could have a go at examining Isabelle.

I seriously think Lily is freaking out over nothing. Yes, she's protective of her baby, but lady, your baby once blew up a shop to protect herself and made a guy blow out his brains with a shotgun. She's good, really.

interdimensional portals in the closet

Odd, I'd have expected you to consider those a feature.

The thing with Isabelle - why didn't the center just ask to examine her? Is there any reason why Lily and Richard would have said no? If my baby was killing people in the woods, I would have no objection to trying to find out more about her powers. It seems like if they would have just asked, everything would have been a-okay. It was the underhanded deception and sneaking her off during day care that was wrong.

Nono, we want those extradimentional things in the closet!

Well, if it leads to cool places, keep it.

(have you seen ljcomm sages_of_chaos? You should have by now, but ne. We have the Death Star who is in love with Namor. And rapping Galactacus. And at least two versions of everyone who may or may not be the same gender.)

Wait, you don't *want* an interdimensional portal in your closet?

Well, hell. Who am I supposed to give it to now?

yeah, Lily is overreacting, but since the centre told them nothing about these tests, she has a point, though Richard is a lot more focused and rational. Lily running away like that is really selfish, it's going to kill Richard.
Do you think Isabelle is effected by this disease thing? At first I thought she was, because of the irritations Lily mentioned- but surely the scientists would have picked up on that.
I mean, imagine if Kevin could have a go at examining Isabelle.
I'm sure he's going to get his chance, as soon as Richard catches up with them. POssibly Isabelle is what leads Kevin to be the founding father of this future technology.

Yeah, she's good isn't she!?! But if she is infected, then that will dampen her abilities too... Though they did start before she got ill- if she is even ill...
So many thoughts, bring on the next episode!!!!

I wrote one into Sean's apartment in Monsters of Moosic. Considering how much trouble this one has been and will be giving him, I'm not sure I want one anymore. Although the request for the movie ticket from Last Action Hero still stands. ;)

That's true. What's bitten the Center in the ass over this is that if they'd come right out from the beginning (especially if Shawn had been the one to do it) and asked, I think they might have said yes, although Lily would have been a hard sell. I get the impression Lily doesn't even want to know, and/or is afraid to find out. After all, after Isabelle hurt Heidi, she never even mentioned it again. You'd think that'd come up in conversation again.

Lily running away like that is really selfish, it's going to kill Richard.

Amen. Running off was a stupid thing to do in a situation as tense as this one is getting. Not only does it keep Isabelle from the only protection she's going to get aside from her own powers, but it distracts Richard who's in the middle of leading these people into what basically amounts to a revolution of sorts.

Do you think Isabelle is effected by this disease thing? At first I thought she was, because of the irritations Lily mentioned- but surely the scientists would have picked up on that.

I don't think so. I doubt that Isabelle has to go into NTAC to get physicals (I don't remember them saying as much), and from the way they talked about it last night, Lemonpox is the symptom and not the disease. Quite frankly, I think Lily and Richard have a better chance of catching Lemonpox at this point.

I'm sure he's going to get his chance, as soon as Richard catches up with them. POssibly Isabelle is what leads Kevin to be the founding father of this future technology.

God, the things I would do to see Kevin and Marco work together to study Isabelle.

Well Marco did ask Kevin to hire him, after trading secrets and realising he'll be out of a job :/

And yes, Lily and Richard really respected Shawn, and would most likely have come to the decision that they would like to know more about Isabelle, Richard seemed keen on the idea even after he found out like that. But I dont think Shawn knew a thing about it, because there is no way he'd stand by and let that happen in that way.

I hope this revolution doesn't go anywhere, I just dont like to think of all sides fighting, when they have the ability to work together so well. But they do have a point, it will probably be very difficult for them to get back out of Quarentine.

This series is killing me!
