Dear "Sounds of the Season" channel on my TV,

I adore the fact that you're playing Halloween music now. That's awesome. Makes for great background music if you like your house to sound like a high school haunted house like I do. But right now, you're playing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." Please don't resort to playing this again when there are perfectly good spooky Halloween songs out there.

Also, if you could stop playing "Ghostbusters" every time I flip you on, I'd appreciate it.

But this vampire music is cool, and now I WAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT.

Sincerely,

Me

P.S. While I'd love it if you'd play something like the theme to Nightmare on Elm Street, I'd like it if you didn't do it right now, because I'm a tiny cute female who's home all alone and not wearing underwear, and we die first. Well, okay, right after the cute tiny females who are home all alone and wearing only their underwear, but let's not get picky.

I've heard Will Smith's Freddy rap on that channel.

And if you know all the words to the Itsy Bitsy Spider it's damned creepy. The version from 8-Legged Freaks is about an itsy bitsy spider that's an itsy bitsy bit DEADLY POISONOUS. And it is the creepiest song ever, since you know the one that sounds all cute and sweet.

I like Will Smith doing Nightmare on My Street. Then again, between that and Parents Just Don't Understand -- oh, and the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air -- Will Smith's songs in the late '80s/early '90s are burned into my brain for all eternity.

I really wish they were going less for theme and more for atmosphere. I mean, I can understand the Itsy Bitsy Spider, and now they're doing Casper the Friendly Ghost, but there are perfectly good songs that are creepy and spooky-sounding without being Halloween-themed. Which, okay, kind of defeats the reason for playing them on a "Sounds of the Season" channel for Halloween, but there's not a lot of Halloween music out there anyway.

And hey, why haven't I heard any horror movie scores? GRR.

Oh, "Weird Science"! *dances*

I thought the virgin girl was the one who survived?

Lack of underwear negates virginity. She's got a 50/50 chance.

At least she's not a slut or a tease. The sluts and teases never survive.

Evening, there. Longtime lurker (and I honestly can't remember why, originally,) who just was amused by the Nightmare on Elm Street reference. Aside from being jealous of the fact that you've got a Halloween-themed television music station, felt like noting that, despite living on the Elm Street (yup! There're lots out there, but I'm on the one,) I've never watched any of the movies. Suppose I ought to rectify that, hm? In any event, I'm avoiding homework and offering thanks for regular amusement. [Tips hat that doesn't actually exist.] So thanks.

I was gonna say, unless you're sexually promiscuous (sp?), you've got a 50/50 shot, at least until the sequel. Then we're talking the first fifteen minutes tops...
