A couple of book-related thoughts ...

-- Every time I'm reminded about Anne Rice and her stupid Not!Zombie Jesus book, I think Jesus is sitting up in Heaven reading his well-worn copy of Lamb and just groaning every time he thinks about her.

-- Today I went to Target to get printer ink and paper and stopped in the "Recommended Reading" section of the book department to check things out. Why did I do that? The last thing I needed to see was forty paperbacks with pink or light-blue covers about some single professional girl in a major city with three best friends and a really great shoe collection who longs for love. And trust me, I did not need to flip them over and read the back to find out that's exactly what every single one of them was about. *sigh*

EDIT: First Seconds From Disaster, and now End Day. The National Geographic Channel is soooooooo my favorite. :)

Oh, and also, regarding tonight's Charmed, I can't WAIT to see Demian from TWoP throw a fit over this one. Phoebe pregnant? Yeah, okay. I can't figure out whether he'll point out that her vision showed she wasn't supposed to get knocked up for years and how the way Holly Marie Combs's pregnancy and Piper's pregnancies jived on the show would certainly explain some sort of warped gestational problem with the Halliwells, or if he'll just go directly to the nonstop projectile vomiting.

SCREAMING AND MUPPET ARMS EDIT: Holy crap, End Day just dropped a meteor on Berlin! A big one! And lots of little ones! And before, they sent a tsunami over New York City! I love this show! If I ask nice, do you think they would show it over and over again in a 24-hour continuous loop on my birthday? *squees loudly* Ooo, I wonder what will destroy the Earth after the commercial break ...

My sister commented on this last night, something along the lines of how can people who've got cable watch crap like Spongebob Squarepants when they've got National Geographic Channel?

I think I'll projectile vomit with him. They've completely screwed up canon. *Sigh* In my mind, seasons 7 and 8 never happened. Chris and adult!Wyatt are all that matter.:)

Of course, you just know that they're going to point out that Piper thought she was going to have a daughter because of her trip to the future way back when, and then she ended up with Chris and Wyatt, which means things can change and Phoebe may not have been pregnant with this kid in that vision and blah blah Kern-can-die-lots-kthxbi-cakes.
