So I just finished the first full chapter of Vampires of Vandling I've gotten done (since I really do tend to write those bits and pieces and string them together), which it turns out is the last chapter. And I just ... it wasn't supposed to end this way, honestly.

Female Character: *does something*
Male Character: *does something else*
Male and Female Characters: *are completely 'shippy all of a sudden out of left field in a weirdly understandable way*
trollprincess: *stares* Uh, guys, you know you're not supposed to hook up, right?
Male Character: Oh, we're not hooking up.
trollprincess: But you just ... and she just ... you two just did, like, five 'shippy things all at the same time.
Female Character: Yeah, but they don't mean anything.
trollprincess: Not from where I'm standing, they don't.
Male Character: Seriously, we're not hooking up.
trollprincess: Dude, any other story and I'd be writing fanfiction about how you dragged her off and shagged her like crazy.
Female Character: But this isn't another story.
Male Character: Right, exactly. We're definitely not together.
trollprincess: ... well, then, STOP NOT FLIRTING WITH ONE ANOTHER.
Male Character: But we're not --
trollprincess: *makes zipper noise in front of mouth and wanders off*

These characters are going to be the death of me, I swear to God.
