Dec. 15th, 2005 07:26 amSo just got home from work and immediately watched Project Runway. Breakfast? Who needs it? *snickers* By designer ...
Kara -- When Jonathan and Victoria were on TAR, Miss Alli said something once about Victoria probably having to do a lot of "spazz wrangling." That phrase is so very, very apt with Kara. Kara, leave the goddamn hat, for crying out loud. I can't believe I agree with Lupe on something (seriously, what the hell is THAT girl's problem, aside from the Bruce Lee hair?), but that's not her stress bouncing onto Kara, that's for damn sure. I'm pretty sure Kara could have a complete nervous breakdown ordering breakfast at McDonald's. (P.S. I hated her outfit. The one she made, and the one she wore to Toys R Us.)
Nick -- Wheee! I love Nick. Can I just keep him? He's just about the world's second-coolest gay uncle (after my uncle Bobby). And while the dress wasn't my style, it was Barbie's and it was pretty and that was the point.
Santino -- All right, he still amuses me even when he's being an outrageous asshole, and he's still one of the most talented designers there. But if he could just shut up about not winning every damn challenge, I'd appreciate it. Dude, you've had one of the highest if not THE highest score every week. Learn to deal.
Andrae -- I loathed that skirt. And I would have cheered if Nina had smacked him upside his globe, because honestly, Andrae, shut it, especially about that damn wig. For crying out loud, would people believe blond hair on that model? No, but in real life, Barbie couldn't survive with those proportions. Sheesh.
Lupe -- I kind of liked the design of her dress, but I hate that shade of green. And I have to reiterate that bit about Kara being a walking, accented ball of stress.
Daniel Franco -- Adored the dress, even if he had to sew the model into it. (Although it did look a lot like his other designs, but I'll deal.) In other news, you know how cocker spaniel puppies get all anxious and excited when new company comes to the door, and they walk around waving their stub of a tail all frantic and wired and sometimes they piddle on the hall carpet? That's what Daniel reminds me of.
Daniel V -- Still not making much of a personal impression on me, but I can finally say I liked one of his dresses.
Diana -- Oh, my God, isn't she just the most adorable thing on the planet?! She's such a teeny little nerd! And while I'm not sure how Barbie that outfit was, I loved the hell out of it. The fabric for that top was too cool. Also, that shot of Raymundo with his arm slung over her shoulders at Toys R Us was adorable, and I think if she and Emmett continue to conference like that, they could rule the world.
Chloe -- I love Chloe to pieces, her dress was definitely Barbie, and I have to give her credit for helping Marla and at least giving her the consideration to express to Marla to her face that she had concerns about her abilities as a designer. (Whereas everybody else seemed to wait until she left the room to pick on her, which was bugging me.)
Emmett -- Heh. You know me and my Emmett love. :)
Zulema -- Ugly dress, annoying woman. See? I can review a contestant in only four words. :)
Raymundo -- Oh, poor Raymundo and his designing for Barbie's mom. That barefoot Appalachian Barbie crack out of Michael Kors irritated me just a tad more than it probably should have, because while it definitely was not a Barbie dress, I did like the dress part of the dress (that jacket was awful, though), I'd wear that much of it in the summer, I live in the Appalachians (well, the northern part ... yeah, like saying that makes it any better), and I spend half of the summer barefoot. (What? It's hot. I certainly can't go barefoot now.)
Marla -- Oh, Marla. On one hand, I'm starting to agree with the other designers that she doesn't have what it takes. I really hate to say it, too, because she's from my area and she's so sweet. On the other hand, picking on her like they were doing was just mean. All of you (even you, Nick, and I love you, but still), shut it.
Heidi Klum -- Hi, Heidi! Just wanted to say you get cuter the more pregnant you get! :)
Tim Gunn -- Why didn't I have more teachers that cool in school? Sheesh.
In other news, we're supposed to get another snowstorm today. Gee, thanks, Mother Nature. *flips her off*

Date: 2005-12-15 01:54 pm (UTC)Nick, Diana, Chloe, and Santino are my favorite designers as far as the clothes go. Nick and Diana are my favorite people in general. Especially Nick. Wouldn't he be the greatest Main Gay ever?

Date: 2005-12-15 04:42 pm (UTC)I blush to admit that I yelled, "Guess they didn't want ya to win three in a row!" at Santino as he moped childisly in the corner. He's so talented but he has to grow up a little. It's not just about winning, it's about making contacts in the fashion industry, and a little charm would go a long way in the biz for someone that talented.
