Hopefully, after I finish a new icon (not a letter one -- this one's all
buffyspazz's fault) and watch the Daily Show, I should plunge into some fic. Might be Wincest, might not. Still pondering. But I would't be me if there weren't some fic coming about my boys. :)
A couple more thoughts regarding tonight's episode, a bit more thought out than that last post ...
1. I'm eighty percent sure that's not John in the preview for the next new episode. I mean, yeah, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, which ... *pounces on him* ... but he just doesn't seem right. I know he'd be seeing his boys for the first time in what's at this point almost an entire year (for Dean -- for Sam, it's even longer), but he's just too happy. AngstAndWoe!John doesn't smile, at least not like that. Besides, the way they show him in the preview from behind at that window, he looks just like whatever killed Mary when it was looking at infant Sam.
2. Speaking of infant Sam, there's got to be some reason that the thing killed Mary when Sam was exactly six months old. Of course, that leads me to wonder what the hell it meant killing Jess on the same day twenty-two years later.
3. The hottest thing about Dean is how much he cares about Sam. Well, that, and watching him beat the crap out of two guys at once. Well, that, and snarking while tied to a chair. Well, THAT, and handcuffs.
4. I keep thinking about what this episode shows about Dean and his attitudes about whom and what he's willing to kill. I mean, okay, he was held hostage by a thirteen-year-old girl (which never stops being funny), but still.
5. Dear Hollywood, living in the country does not automatically give you a Southern accent regardless of whether or not you even live in the South. Speaking as someone who lives about two minutes from the country in every direction, STOP THAT.
6. So, let's see. Ed Gein, Robert Hansen, maybe a touch of Gary Heidnik. What? So my Encyclopedia of Serial Killers is the most dog-eared book I own. What's wrong with that?
7. I didn't think Dean's definition of "brother" from We All Make Wrong Turns really needed reinforcement. *snickers*
EDIT: HEE! Watching the Daily Show yesterday and today makes me want to play Duck Hunt. :)
OTHER EDIT: There, icon finished.
