South Dakota Senate passes abortion ban bill -- *headdesk*

First they remade The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Then they decided what we really needed was a sequel. Now they think we need a remake of Friday the 13th. You know what I miss? Original ideas. They were fun.

When the hell did Constantine become my score of choice when writing fic? When I really want to concentrate on fic and get in a mood, I have to put on something that has no words and has a unified atmosphere, so movie scores are usually perfect for that, but Constantine? *sigh* I really need some more soundtracks, I think.

Last night at bowling, I didn't actually bowl, but I did do really well at darts and -- having not played pool in at least three years or so -- it turns out I am still a fucking rock god pool shark. A rusty pool shark, but a pool shark nonetheless. I also got told that I remind my friends of Anya circa season five of Buffy, and pleasantly surprised the guys I was playing with because they thought I didn't know who she was and that I'd take it as an insult. Heh. :) (Now if they'd said Buffy circa season seven, those would have been fighting words.)

We're all supposed to go out to the bar tonight, but I'm not letting myself go until I finish the goddamn story. Grrrrr.

I saw the South Dakota story on the news this morning. This has been my long standing fear since Bush was elected. Once he started getting the chance to appoint Supreme Court justices that someone would try this. I wasn't exactly expecting it this soon, though I should have. I've really got to start getting more active with Planned Parenthood.
