Mar. 22nd, 2006 05:58 pmMy mother wants me to go up to her house to go over the obituary she wrote for my great-grandfather. I'm amazed she didn't ask me to write it since when she mentioned the obituary, that's what I thought it was leading up to, but okay. *shrugs*
She did tell me what she did and didn't put in it, but she did tell me something neat, which is that my great-grandparents didn't get married until a few years before my great-grandmother died, which was only twenty years ago. Now that's kinda cool.
Also, Grandpa worked on the Twin Towers when they were building them. That's a neat little bit of trivia.
I've found that watching Top Chef makes me want to cook and yet at the same time gives me cravings for the most unhealthy food I have in my kitchen. Last week, I ate half a bag of Cheetos while I was watching, so tonight should be amusing. Hell, it should be amusing anyway, because watching Stephen interact with small children should be hilaaaaaaarious. (I keep picturing how he must have been in high school, acting like that in home ec, and it kills me every time.) And after seeing the clips of "This season on Top Chef ...", I think he's going to make Candice cry. YAY.
When I go to my mom's house, I have to pick up the recipe she has for my favorite cookies, maple nut logs. And then I can post it in here so I always have the recipe, because DUDE, cookies that taste like pancakes! :)
