So I've finally seen this last episode of Top Chef.
Is it wrong that I'm starting to root for Andrea? I mean, not to win the whole thing, but I'm starting to actually believe she's a good cook, which I sure as hell wasn't getting in the first few episodes. Granted, she could stand to shut it about the bowel movements (yeah, let's talk about the last thing I want to associate with the great meal I just had), but when she wins now, it's great, especially because Stephen's usual response is to roll his eyes like he's personally offended. Heh.
Seriously, the best thing about Stephen is just laughing at him. It's not even worth the energy to hate him. Just think of that guy trying to function around normal people. Picture him trying to eat buffalo wings without a fork. The fact that he's never had cart food is just sad, because cart food done right is some of the best food on the planet.
I love Dave. Even when he's bitchy, he's adorable.
I also love Miguel like a great cuddly thing.
The Junk Food challenge was the best thing EVER. I absolutely died laughing. I so want to do that at parties. *flails*
I think that Tiffani and Dave working together was great, because they are both really good with customers. (Even if I don't like her a lot of the time.)
I'm sad to see Lisa go because she was a sweetie, but she really did let herself get kicked to the curb rather than fighting for what she wanted.
Bah. I think I'll go put on one of the movies I've been meaning to watch and try to finish as much of the Pairing List as I can manage.

Date: 2006-04-09 10:43 pm (UTC)Tiffani can go roast herself. Good cooking aside, she's got a deplorable personality and I'll hate it if she wins.
I like Dave and Lee Ann. They seem like genuine folk to me.

Date: 2006-04-09 10:57 pm (UTC)Tiffani just grates. I don't doubt that she's a fabulous cook, but my GOD, could she be just a little more condescending? She's annoying and bitchy and I mostly just want her to go away. (Although she was fairly tolerable with Dave around, but Dave is too cute in a gay-best-friend kind of way.)
Lee Ann is awesome. I can't decide whether to root for her or Miguel. Miguel's too much ... that junk food challenge was so up my alley, so watching him and Dave do it (and Lee Ann "host") made them go way up in my book, as if they weren't already up there.
