Okay, for some ungodly reason I'm watching the 100 Funniest Movies list, and it's still pissing me off.

So name me your favorite funny movies. Not the best comedies, but the movies that make you laugh hysterically every time you see them.

My favorites?

The Princess Bride, which is one of my three favorite movies of all time, if we're counting the Terminator series and the "Irwin Allen's Attempt to Destroy The Planet in the '70s In Three Crappy Disaster Movies" trio of death and destruction as one movie each.

Arthur, because that movie keeps me laughing for two straight hours without fail.

A Fish Called Wanda, because Kevin Kline in that movie is the best thing on the planet after maple walnut ice cream.

Airplane!, because that's my dad's influence at work.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, because ... well, REALLY.

And an honorable mention to the scene in While You Were Sleeping where the paperboy goes to throw the newspaper from the icy sidewalk and his bike goes flying out from under him, if only because that scene never fails to KILL ME DEAD.

The Batman movie that was based on the TV show. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb."

Empire Records, for anyone who has ever worked in retail, and anyone who has ever been a teenager. "Marc, you love Gwar! Why don't you join the band? Aw, that's awesome, Marc! Too bad you must DIE."

Sin City had me nearly in tears, but I suspect that is in large part due to my boyfriend taking it so seriously, and the fact that I had just seen Rent and made Mimi jokes every time Rosario Dawson was on screen.

The movie itself makes me all weepy, but the trailer for The Outsiders is so godawfully bad funny that it cheers me right back up.

I think The Lion King 1 1/2 is great, but my dad felt like it was just mocking the original. Plus it has the original cast in it, and Marge from the Simpson's! "I uh, I guess I owe everyone an apology. All right so I made a teensy mistake, like we all haven't broken into song on sentry duty before uh-haha come on, let me have a show of hands! Oooh-kay." (Also? Totally worth it for Timon and Pumbaa's GAY LOVE mad parenting skillz (and gay love).)
