Thank you! Someone else who thinks they mishandled Pyro! And yes, I totally agree - while I think it's been at least a few months between X2 and X3, that was a really quick switch in attitude. From what I've seen of Mystique, at least, I always thought Magneto passed his respect of Charles (and Erik and Charles have *always* respected each other, even when they disagreed the most) onto all his people. Part of me wants to think Pyro's comment was part bravado, part feeling out just what Erik's reaction to the whole Charles-dying thing was. But given how badly most of the characters were handled, I dunno. Actually, it could have been worse; in the novel, Pyro starts whining when Bobby defeats him at Alcatraz - he actually says 'It's not fair'. Huh? If John had any tendency to whine (rather than express anger through blowing shit up), Erik would have gotten rid of that within weeks after Pyro jumped ship to the Brotherhood. Literally removing the tendency by force, if necessary.
