Jun. 12th, 2006 02:49 pmI forgot to tape The 4400 last night. Oh, for fuck's sake. (Luckily, USA isn't Bravo, but they still rerun their first-run episodes a couple of times in the following week, too, which is good.)
On the plus side, my apartment is almost totally clean. Somewhere between my work schedule and trying to get other stuff done, my apartment's been a scary pigsty for a couple of weeks now. WOO! *happy dance*
So after work today, a bunch of us went to Denny's to hang out and plan stuff like going to Dorney Park next month. (YAY! I love Dorney, and I haven't been there in a good ten years or so.) Anyway, we all got onto the subject of Cute Guy With Girlfriend and Baby.
So, yeah, I have a crush on the guy, but ... you know, girlfriend and baby, so I shut up about it and act like an adult. He's still our friend, though, which is why we started talking about the girlfriend.
Everybody likes him, because for all of his occasional bitching and loud clothes and evil little pranks he's a really nice guy. The thing is that the girlfriend is one of those girls who is AMAZINGLY jealous. God forbid he ever hang out with people from work because some of us have tits. And that's just annoying, because the bunch of us hang out and go out to the bar and do stupid shit like plan trips to Dorney Park all the time. She's already notorious for having a fit because he brought her to Denny's one time when everybody was meeting up for breakfast and there were female co-workers there.
We ran into the two of them when everybody was at Hershey and she was so freaking rude. It was just one of those situations where he was being really nice about, "Hey, this is my girlfriend, and here are my friends from work and their boyfriends and Jenn's brother," and she was just standing there with this scowl on her face with her arms crossed glaring at us as if we were about to snatch him up and carry him away. Er, no, sweetie, but thanks anyway.
And the funniest thing from my point of view is that I know for a fact that I'm the only girl at work who has a crush on him, and there's no way in hell I'm touching a guy with a serious girlfriend and a baby. I can't even begin to describe how much even thinking about going after a guy already in a relationship grosses me out. If they broke up and he asked me out, yeah, I'd probably jump in on it in a heartbeat. But come ON.
*sigh*
I really want to see about researching stuff for my
spn_50states story this week. I have at least three places I have to check out myself, although one of them is a place I'm already using for the Books of Boggs that I'm horribly tempted to use again for the fic. And I'm absolutely desperate to write up a nice, long, plotty fic at this point. I even have an OFC I've been saving, for crying out loud. *rubs hands together*

Well, hurry up and watch it! It rocked. It rocked a lot!
As for the girlfriend -- well, if she's that jealous, the relationship may well come apart on its own.
