I just spent the last few hours reading the MsScribe stuff on F_W and watching the entire story of Jim and Pam from The Office.

I ... can't really feel my brain anymore, I don't think.

OMG that Msscribe thing? I got to chapter nine (chapter ten had not yet been posted) and I had to swear to myself that I would not return because my brain tried to leak out of my ears. And I skimmed the last 5 pages.

I want to watch the Jim and Pam story but...I just...I can't bring myself to do it. 15 parts? No..my brain will commit murder on the rest of me. It will spontaneously shut down or have an aneurysm. Or something.

No, no, you have to watch! I mean, yes, fifteen parts, but fifteen parts of the sweetest, most realistic romance on TV. It's so adorable and lovely, and they're so damn real, and you just want them together so much. *cuddles the both of them*

They each boil down to about ten minutes a piece, so it takes maybe a little longer than two hours all together to watch them.

That msscribe saga - is the evil!pringles of fandom. You think, oh, I'll just read a little bit... really, just one chapter, because I don't really care about such juvenile wank.. and the next thing you know it's 1am and you're shaking your head in mute wonder at the sheer crackheadedness of fandom.

I just ... I don't even get how I managed to read as much as I did. I can't begin to wrap my brain around people who need this much drama in their lives to get by. And the worst part is that as much as I'd like to believe this sort of behavior is rare, I know from personal experience it totally isn't.

The MsScribe story does seem to have a strangely hypnotic quality to is. It's like watching E! True Hollywood Stories or reality shows about car crashes in slow motion -- sooner or later, your brain just goes into neutral absorbtion mode.
