Oh, wait, I didn't even hear her say that. Maybe I wasn't even registering it because I was too busy staring at Angela's donkey smile. I just assumed she does because they've done it every week so far.
*crosses fingers*
You realize you're making me watch the repeat AGAIN, right? ;P
I'm really thinking there wasn't immunity this week, because Tim also mentions immunity as the "prize of the week" and this week, the winner got their design mass produced.
I don't think they did it for the 2nd week going into the puppy challenge :x but I can't remember back that far at ALL. Who won that 2nd challenge? I can't even remember. God I suck XD
I don't know, though. Like gloryliberty pointed out, I didn't even notice if Heidi said the winner has immunity or not, and usually they don't give immunity when they use your finished products like this.
For what I remember, Tim said in the first podcast that they brought back immunity to encourage the designers to try and win rather than try not to lose. On the other hand, for stuff like this, usually getting your design displayed and/or sold IS the prize.
INDEED. Let's just hope that they know better than to give her immunity. Knowing Angela, she'll make a horrid garment next week just because she can't be sent packing.
Well, considering they've made a habit of giving people immunity, I'm going to check and make sure they never specifically said they WEREN'T giving immunity. Because otherwise, she's got it, and BAH.
"The full tilt boogie Angela quilted extravaganza of puff" would be my new journal title, if I weren't so attached to the one I've got. :)
You know, I'm frankly getting awfully damn sick of the Angela hatred. She's a bit of an idiot, yes, but compared to the spectrum of reality-show contestants, she falls neatly into the category of "largely-harmless ditz". So I'm left wondering just what the damn issue everyone seems to have is--she can't have run over all your puppies.
I don't know about anybody else, but she just drives me up a goddamn wall. She's not so bad half of the time -- if it hadn't been for her behavior the past few episodes, I would have been thrilled for her this episode. She's kinda cute when she's happy for once.
I can't stand her style -- aside from her first outfit, I have major problems with her design aesthetic. I really didn't appreciate it the way she treated first Kayne, and then Vincent, during the Miss USA challenge. I don't like her telling Miss USA she doesn't sketch two episodes before her sketches win her a team leadership any more than I like Keith trying to bullshit a bracelet collar on a dog as something he made. I haven't seen rosettes on anything remotely pretty for years, so every time I see her putting it on clothes, I cringe. And her personal style -- I mean, it's like going to a restaurant with a skinny chef. I don't want to buy clothes from someone I think looks like an outdated train wreck most of the time.
That's the thing, though -- she could turn out to be the Andrae. Last season, I couldn't stand Andrae's melodrama the first few episodes, but by the end of the season I was sad to see him go. Currently, though, she manages to grate on every single one of my last nerves. She's ditzy, yeah, but she's not even amusing in her ditziness. (Meanwhile, Bradley makes me giggle even while his ditziness makes me want to smack him. "I'm a squid with no ocean" beats the Jubilee Jumbles story every day of the week.)
Yeah, but here's the thing: all of that makes for a contestant that annoys the hell out of you and you wouldn't miss, sure. I can see that. Hell, I've been there with other contestants on other shows.
But where does that justify the kind of hate she gets? The endless name-calling, the comments like, "oh GROSS. geeze she so should not still be around. those judges are sniffing something," the posts just to bitch about how terrible it is she got immunity? I don't even like the woman all that much myself, but I came out of this episode thinking that this was her best showing and she was almost nifty in it, and then got socked in the face with post after post after post on my flist about how loathsome she is, and how terrible it is she won the challenge. With a design that everyone agrees was the best one on the runway, but it's still terrible, dammit, because it's her, and she shouldn't win regardless. Because it's her.
It's stupid, and it's frankly a lot more irritating than Angela is even on her bad days. Especially since I know damn well there have been contestents even on this show who behaved worse and got nowhere near this level of reaction.
I think the problem with the fact that her design was the best (and it was, like it or not) is that they ALL kind of sucked. I mean, Bonnie's and Robert's ... yeah. But Keith's team's top had that stupid tank top thing at the bottom of it, not to mention that you have to be majorly skinny to pull off fitted pants like that. And Angela's was good and well-made, as long as you have no stomach and small breasts and have no problem wearing bolero jackets, which don't look good on anyone who isn't waving a red cape at a bull. I don't know a lot of people who could just walk into a store and wear ANY of those outfits.
I think part of it, too, is that it's so damn tense there this season, and the two biggest reasons for that have been Keith and Angela. Keith's a smug bastard who kept trying to break the rules, and she started arguments with Vincent and distracted Kayne during his thirty minutes of sketching time. Keith just thought he was far better than everybody else -- he wasn't screwing up other people's chances, he was building up his own with those stupid pattern books. Heck, he even helped out Bradley last week. Angela's behavior in the Miss USA challenge could have been detrimental to both Kayne and Vincent. (Although Vincent was digging his own hole, but from what I've heard of the behind-the-scenes goings-on, she was MUCH worse to him than he was to her.)

I don't know. I still love "the British headmistress of an art camp in Paris".
