A show of hands, people -- who thinks I can catch, much less get anywhere near, a bat with a trash can? Guys, come on. I did not come anywhere near the bat, I was mostly just scaring it off, and I would have had closer contact if I'd emailed the little bugger. Hell, I've been closer to a bat before.

Thanks to all of the comments from that post yesterday, I'm tempted to write a "Five Reasons John Didn't Call" fic. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. (I mean MY weekend, which starts tomorrow. YAY.)

And yup, I've made a new Project Runway fan at work, because last night she specifically said, "Make sure you remind me tomorrow before we leave when that show plays. It sounds awesome!" Heh.

I caught one with my sweater once... but he was taking a breather on the crown molding atop a large window in my house at the time.

For all that they're freaky-looking little creatures, I love bats. I mean -FLYING MAMMAL!!!- How cool is that?

I used to have a purebred Himalayan cat who caught one that got into the house once. He was lucky my parents didn't rush him off to the vets after that fiasco. (Although from what I heard, it was an awesome sight to behold. ;))

*giggles* I said last night that what I could have used was a mosquito net. If I wasn't against hurting it, I would have just done what my dad did when one got in the house and caught it with a purebred Himalayan and a broom.
