I am a dumbass, and this is how you can tell.

I was anticipating a five-day weekend for all of four days.

And then my supervisor came up to me tonight and said, "You want to work Labor Day for triple time?"

So now I am working Labor Day, unless they call us off, because I could use the money. I'd get "Glutton for punishment" tattooed on my ass, but it's obviously already there.

Erm, perhaps the placement of said tattoo is questionable, now that I think about it.

Dude, triple time? Count yourself lucky. You could be a server like me, and just be expected to work all day because everyone else isn't working, so of course we're going to be busy as hell.

I can understand being bummed though. You get all excited only to have your hopes dashed.
