Oh, Dick.
I'm holding on desperately to the fact that with these big season-long mysteries, it's never who it looks like at first, because right now it totally looks like Dick. Yay for possible exoneration through implied guilt!
What? I like Dick, damn it. He's fucked up and a big jerk and needs a smack upside the head and yet I'm completely rooting for him to come out of this whole thing ... well, not a model citizen or anything, but definitely more mature than he was.
Also, if they make Mac and Dick canon, I will love Rob Thomas like candy. CANDY, I TELL YOU.
I do not already have Mac/Dick mistake sex fic in my head. I don't. *trembles*
I still love Veronica and Logan together, God help me, but Piz is kind of adorable. The whole Beaverton thing, and the sweater, and toasting with Veronica when they caught the culprit ... WHEE! He can totally become the new Scooby. "She's our age and she's a detective? Is she a cartoon, too?" Oh, my God, I'm so keeping him.
Even though I understood why Veronica and Mac were annoyed by Parker, I got a little tired of her getting the stink-eye towards the end of the episode, even though I saw what was coming from the time Veronica went into the room to get the tickets. Dude, in my three years at college, each of my roommates were waaaaaay worse than that. So she's a little ... uh, without boundaries. She was really nice other than that. Remind me to tell about the bitchy girl I roomed with third year who only spoke about thirty words to me from September to May. (Actually, that's pretty much the whole story.)
I can't talk about Keith right now without feeling abject terror.

I take it as a good sign of Weevil's continued presence on the show that Francis Capra's still in the credits. (And speaking of the credits, OMG I want the old ones back! I mean, these aren't bad, but ... but ... those were my favorites, damn it.)

i checked imdb, and yeah, he's still there. whew! god, i love weevil so much. i totally miss him. i have a theory that veronica will explain to the admins that being forced to mentor a girl is sexist and dumb, and will wind up "mentoring" weevil, by which i mean partering up with him on cases sometimes. *clappy hands*
I LOVE PROFESSOR LANDRY. he is so trouble. he's gonna be the rapist or something, something awful and terrible and giant. or maybe his TA is the rapist! aigh, i can't wait. veronica's so gonna wind up looking up to el professor and then having it yanked out from under her, wheeeee, i can't wait.

Date: 2006-09-27 12:14 pm (UTC)Fortunately, our natures differed so greatly that she ended up moving to a different dorm (after the worst 4 month living situation of my life-- unlike you I was not hardcore enough to last until May, but I was hardcore enough to be the one who stayed instead of left) and I got a new roommate. And it was much better, because while we weren't really hanging-out friends, we were comfortable and could have actual conversations. Mac doesn't know that she got lucky to have someone who's actually friendly.
Ironically, seeing the whole cast now in their college roles... and Wallace is the only one who actually looks young enough to be a freshman. It's almost worse now than when they were supposedly high schoolers, because I've been around freshmen, and in the halls of dormrooms their age is accentuated-- they all look like juniors or seniors. Freshmen look like frelling babies in comparison.
I never thought of Mac and Dick, but you're the second person on my flist to call it after this episode. My heart broke for Mac after he spoke to her, but a little for Dick at the end, too.
The only problem I see with Dick being a red herring is that Dick wasn't there for the first of the rapes. Of course, it could be labeled a copycat thing.
Did they ever explain why Veronica's not at Stanford right now?
