Okay, having seen last night's TAR finally ...
I love Mary. I'll admit I was hard on her for that first episode, but she's more than proven herself in the last two episodes. She's toughing it out in spite of that ankle of hers, she gives as good as she gets with David, and she's best friends with the black girls, the gay guys, and the Cho brothers. I'm not saying that as a slight against her by any means -- it's mostly because even she admitted last episode that she's been rather sheltered from any kind of diversity. Some people can't handle it, but she's just making friends left and right. It's awesome. Watching her hug Tom and Terry at the end after waiting for them to finish and yelling encouragement to them made me want to give her puppies.
And kudos to the Amazing Editors, for getting that shot of Peter saying, "Way to come from behind! Good teamwork!" while showing him gleefully stalking forward in the rice paddy ahead of a practically crawling Sarah. Not that I want Sarah to have to resort to crawling like that, but ... heh. Asshat.
Speaking of which, would SOMEONE get that poor woman some hydraulic fluid? The less I have to see of her having to crawl through a fucking rice paddy, the better.
I think Tom and Terry learned their lesson. I'm not going to give them shit today because, eh, it happens. It's like I keep telling my trainees at work ... sometimes I'd just really rather they fuck something up so they learn not to do it again. But, you know, not all the time.
Too bad for Duke and Lauren.
Oh, and as for work, you know how when you miss a day, sometimes you kind of hope the whole place falls apart in your absence and when you come back they totally kiss your ass?
Aw, yeah, baby. *basks in newfound glory at work*

Date: 2006-10-02 11:45 pm (UTC)then i finally come back and the freezer is AWFUL, the carpet probably hadn't be vacuumed in the past week and there's like a quarter of an inch of cleaner left.
The next week I was bombarded with "The room looked GREAT this morning"
Oh i loved it.
