Hiro teleported to the future! And saw Isaac dead! And Nathan wins in a landslide! And New York explodes! APOCALYPSE! Yaaaaaaaay!

The best, though?

Peter really CAN fly! I spazzed when he walked on thin air like that, although holy crap, why was Nathan sweating so profusely and looking all anxious when he came up to the roof? Somehow, I doubt that it was just because Peter had already jumped off one roof and was up on another.

I'm really thinking he's still channeling Nathan's ability to fly because of the whole psychic thing, though.

And Matt! Yay for Greg Grunberg! I don't have a giddy crush on him like everybody else but he is awesome. Matt's telepathy is very cool, and I feel very sorry for the poor guy for getting dumped on off of circumstantial evidence and ... well, hearing voices from other people's heads.

Having seen a little more of Niki's powers, I like it MUCH better. She lost four hours, and during that time she changed clothes, got a new shiny car, cleaned up the garage, and found a spot to bury the dead guys. Damn, she's more efficient when she's schizophrenic than when she's not.

Claire and her dad are cute and yet so very, very creepy together. I mean, he stole that videotape of her trying to kill herself. That's terrifying. Oh, and the effects of her head getting turned all the way around were so crappy and yet, HEEEEEE.

And Hiro! HIRO! Five weeks?! I just ... I can't even. *flails*

Meanwhile, Mohinder and his wee new friend need to hook up and fight crime solve mysteries together.

Peter is like Rogue. He can sense nearby powers - at least that of his brother - and channel them. When he does this, though, he leeches them. That's why Nathan suddenly couldn't fly once he grabbed Peter. It's why Nathan was sweating - because he had to run up the stairs. At least, that's my theory.

The real question is, who's the brain-eating ice-man?

I have to say, so far, they've done a good job of using there female characters. Usually, by episode two I either don't care about the females or hate them. That I'm able to say I adore several of them? is AWESOME!

When they did the reveal that Hiro went to the future, and then they put him back on his subway? I did this combination of *victory arms* because it was SO AWESOME and *hugs self protectively* because AUGH!

I think Peter channeling his powers makes a lot of sense, and there's a part of me that thinks he might even be channeling Isaac's powers, too. We've only seen two heroes aside from Peter in New York City, and Peter's displayed both of their abilities.

I've just become aware of how much my love for Buffy makes me predisposed to like any kickass, little, blond girl (damn you, Joss). So Claire is awesome! *g*

But I'm really finding that I'm drawn to all the characters. They've done a fantastic job of making me care right at the beginning.

And the show is wonderfully surprising. Man, I so did not need to get hopelessly hooked on another show.

About midway through, I actually found myself hoping that Peter couldn't fly. It would have been a nice counterpoint to everyone else to have someone who DOESN'T have powers, but thinks he does.

niki is totally one of my favoritest parts of the show. although i think that spot in the desert is where her spooky other side has buried people BEFORE, y'know? just left the shovel there? eeeeee so creepy.

claire's dad is the bad guy omg. i'm glad he's being established as a raving sociopath, i like that. when he said "anderson" to suresh in the car, i flipped out, i swan. MISTER ANDERSON. *clappy*

It looks like SciFi is rerunning it on Fridays before Doctor Who, but they cut out/cut short some scenes from last week's episode. I'm hoping that was just because the original airing had a lot less commercials and now that it's back to the usual commercial schedule, SciFi will play it uneditted.

And, for me, best of all, one of my best friends, Tadao Tomomatsu, was the detective doing the Japanese translating. :D I'm soooo hoping it turns into a reoccuring role as he's had quite a dry spell for awhile with only voice acting work and such since his last bit as Mr. Shake-Hands-Man on the American-made segments of Banzai! :) He's a sweetie and deserves some good, regular work. :)

But, yeah. Heroes!!!!!
