Okay, I give up. Where the hell is the cat?

I mean, it's not like he could have gotten out or anything. All the windows are closed, the front door is locked, there's no possible way out. I just took a nap and then I woke up and now I can't find him anywhere in the apartment. He's got to be around, 'cause there's nowhere he can go, but it's throwing me right the hell off.

He'll probably turn up later out of nowhere and scare the crap out of me. Or, you know, maybe the chinchilla hid him.

*sigh* I feel like I'm starting the lamest zoo ever.

Also, yay! Yuletide's almost here! I adore Yuletide. I've had my requests planned out for a month already and everything. :)

Oh, and I watched last night's Grey's Anatomy. Mostly, all I have to say is ... Izzie, DEPOSIT THE CHECK. You can still try to decide what good things to do with the money if it's sitting in a bank. (You know how I wanted happy-ending AU Denny/Izzie fic? Ever since that check showed up, I'm positively dying for it. Denny can treat her nice and buy her things and be like, "Did I not mention I was loaded?" Heh.)

Also, I love Bailey. Have I said that lately? I love her as much as I currently hate Isaiah Washington. (Still love Burke to pieces, but after that comment he made to Patrick Dempsey during that fight on the set? Yeah, that was just brilliant right there. *eye roll*)

I'm not used to him jumping up on stuff, though, because he mostly sticks to hiding under things, but since he's been here he's been more into that sort of thing. He's probably hiding on top of something and I'm just missing it.

It's going to be the corner farthest out of sight, with the cat blinking out at you and yawning and then going back to sleep completely oblivious.

For instance, I came home from work one day and I couldn't find my cat. Normally she comes bounding out and demanding attention like I'd left her alone for a week, so it had me worried. I called for her and looked in all her normal places... my apartment is literally a hole in the wall, and there shouldn't be a way for her to get out. But if maintenance had let themselves in and left the door open (they've done this twice before while I was living there) she could have totally dissappeared. I looked for like a half an hour, and started to get really worried, before she finally let out this tiny half interested mewl from behind boxes I'd crammed under and behind a chair........

It was so cute I couldn't be mad ;)

I was about to suggest the box spring. Back when I was in college, my roommates cat disappeared on me. I finally found him in my box spring. He'd torn a hole in the bottom and was in there asleep. I just don't get cats. They're buckets of crazy, but so cute.

It didn't exactly leave T.R. Knight with much of a choice about coming out, either. Aside from the two of them and T.R. Knight, the only long-term male cast members are Justin Chambers and the guy who plays the Chief, both of whom are VERY married. (Justin Chambers and his wife are, I believe, on their five millionth child.) After that crack, people were bound to presume he was gay anyway.
