Not like I'll have time to watch them anyway, but I've got TAR and Torchwood going right now and I'm going to have to leave them still downloading when I leave for work, at this rate. And for some stupid reason, I'm trying to not look at who got kicked off TAR last night as if I'm actually going to get it downloaded in an hour, which I won't. Eh, whatever. I'll probably click directly over to the TWoP recaplet after this anyway.

So last night was my first night back at work -- bummer -- and even though I spent months telling people exactly what I'd be doing in Nashville, everybody was like, "What did you go for again?" *sigh* I'm pretty sure the highlight of the night was when the girl I've been working on the same machine with for months asked and I sarcastically said it was four days of drinking booze and talking about porn, complete with an added mention that a lot of us write gay smut. At which point she asked if I was a lesbian, and when I responded in the negative got told she could have sworn someone told her I was a virgin. (My response: "Uh, yeah. ME.")

I spent an hour trying to wrap my brain around where the hell her train of thought had derailed, although I do distinctly remember saying, "Straight girls write erotica, too, you know." It took me a few hours to realize that maybe she'd forgotten that I'd told her on more than one occasion that the gay smut I write has guys in it, but she has the attention span of a fruit fly (which even she'd admit to) so I didn't bother bringing it up again.

I feel like I should complain to the SPN fandom for spitting out an abundance of awesome porn in the past couple of days. Dudes, knock it off! I can't write if I'm too busy salivating over your stuff! *whimpers*

In related news, I went to Wikipedia to look up scientific terms to use as a title for the Dean/Ash AU, clicked on a physics link, and promptly lost all solidity in my brain.

I feel stupid asking this but what my dear is Torchwood? I feel so out of the loop because everyone is gushing about it and I am left feeling bummed about missing something and have no clue what it is.

On to your post I had a similar experience explaining to a co-worker that just because I read stories about Gay men doesn't make me a lesbian. I would understand her thinking if I was reading about two girls but hello it is men and I like men. I have given up trying to explain and cringe every time she pass by my desk and ask if I am reading my homoerotic stories hell I don’t understand my kink and now that I think about I didn’t have this kink before Supernatural.
