Yay, no overtime tonight! *flails*

Am currently watching the episode of City Confidential about a murder in Honesdale, PA, which isn't far from here. It's hilarious. I mean, okay, murder, but the whole thing with City Confidential is that when they tell you about the crime, they also tell you about the town, and they keep talking abut Honesdale like it's something out of a Norman Rockwell painting, practically perfect in every way if only you don't count the fact that anybody from 14 years old to 30 years old can't find shit to do. Heh. Most of the hilarity is in saying, "Hey, I've been there! That's where I used to hang out with my high school friends! Hey, that's where I took the SATs!"

And now they're talking about the founder of Honesdale's chapter of SADD getting drunk like it's shocking. Honestly, I was the only member of my SADD chapter that didn't drink.

Still haven't gotten to see last night's Top Chef or this week's Veronica Mars, but I'm probably going to watch them after I go buy stickers for the garbage and laundry detergent. I'm going to work on fic after tonight's Supernatural (*flails again*), because God knows I need to finish something soon. My list of stuff to get done before NaNo is ridiculous. I'm lucky I don't have any money right now, or I might be tempted to do something stupid and unproductive this weekend like go somewhere or do something.

Need to work on original fic stuff on [livejournal.com profile] iblewupyourcar. *sigh*

dude. SADD isn't Students Against Drinking, it's Students Against Drunk Driving.

Now, if the founder of the chapter of SADD died (or killed someone else) driving drunk, well, I wouldn't shocked, but I'd be disappointed.

Oh, in our school, the advisor still made a HUGE deal about how we weren't supposed to ever drink. Which was stupid, because someone made the same argument to our advisor and she got all uppity about it.

And she wasn't drunk driving, but the driver was.

I had the same reaction to an SPN episode. Something Wicked is set in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Which is where I live. They were using the same run-down small town set they use for every episode, and I just about killed myself laughing. Fitchburg is a sprawling suburb of a decent-sized city. The neighborhoods have regulations on what shade of beige your house can be and how long your grass can get before you have to mow the lawn. The best part was that in the episode they actually pull out a map and, God love them, it's really a map of Fitchburg. I could pinpoint the locations of five friends' houses on it. But the show had taken it and Photoshopped "Dane County Memorial Hospital" right in the middle of the neighborhood. At an intersection that I go past several times a week. It was the funniest thing I'd ever seen.

Sorry for the comment-spam. I sometimes feel the need to overshare.
