Or tomorrow night, or the next night, because last night at work they should have sent us home early for lack of work and instead they kept us there until we did every cart of work available. We're supposed to leave something for day shift to do, which means that they probably all got sent home early today instead of us. Fabulous. That's just what I want -- to work so hard that other people get rewarded. If they really want to make me happy, they'll make up for it by sending us home one of the next few nights just so I can get some writing done.
Speaking of which, NANO! *flails* I have two
spn_halloween prompts I still have to finish, but I've got a couple of days until the deadline on those (although God only knows if I'll get them done by then, either ... *sigh*), so I've got that going for me, especially since I'm going to try and save my NaNo for my days off when I can really concentrate on it. Well, except for Friday when my friends and I are going to a gay bar and Saturday when we're all going out to a nightclub for one of my co-worker's birthdays.
Still downloading Heroes. Hurry up, stupid torrent. *pokes computer*
And now the October fic roundup, which is annoyingly shorter than it's been all year long. Stupid brain.
ain't no good life (Supernatural, Ash) -- There needs to be more Ash fic, damn it. (And yes, I know I've got that AU to write. I'm getting there, I swear.)
Unlike Me (Supernatural, John/Mary) -- Which is a plotline I should have saved for a longer story, but hey, as long as I wrote it.
Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking (Heroes, Hiro) -- Yay for fandoms that pretty much Joss my stuff as soon as I write it! Heh.
Desperately In Need Of a Hobby (Supernatural, Dean) -- More fictional characters need to do NaNo, if only because it's funny as hell to make them suffer. ;)
I'm still feeling the urge to write Jo fic, although I can't decide why. I don't hate her as much as some people do ("Jo the Ho"? As a few people have already pointed out, way to be a middle-school girl about a potential love interest for a guy most of us love for being a ginormous tramp) but I don't love her, either. I don't know, I just want Dean to have a long-term friend female his own age where romance never enters the equation who doesn't have to be unattractive for a friendship to happen (because of course, then why would he ever be attracted to her as a love interest?).
I don't know, maybe I'm already feeling guilt over plot ideas I've had for the Books of Boggs that I wasn't even thinking about before. 'Cause seriously, some of those characters were definitely never supposed to do THAT. *grumbles*

Date: 2006-10-31 07:00 pm (UTC)That cracked me up. I don't know why, but it did. Just thought you should know. :-)
Work=major suck.
And I am soooo not up-to-date on fandom. *Sigh* One of the reasons-no $$$ to buy necessary books/movies/tv shows (I prefer to have TV shows on DVD--I don't know why). That will change soon, hopefully. Heroes is on the list.

Date: 2006-11-01 02:44 am (UTC)I think a lot of my love of Jo is my own innate stubbornness. Fandom's going to hate her? Well, now, that just means I'm going to have to love her just to piss everyone off or some such. *G*
I honestly don't really care about the idea of Jo/Dean. It'd be pretty but, still, not particularly caring. I'd like some long term female friends in that world too. Personally? I'd settle for friends with benefits with Jo. This works for me. I get the friendship and the sex. *wry grin*
