Woo! Only one day left until my five-day weekend! *dances* I think I need it, too. Last night at work I got a little goofy. Well, a little goofier than normal. I figure it was the result of all three of us on the machine fucking up three times over, although THAT was the result of us being shipped over to the other side of the factory so often in the last few weeks we're rusty. (Well, that, and I didn't realize I was training one of the women until she'd fucked up one simple thing so many times she obviously needed it. *sigh*)

I really have to make a list of fic ideas I've still got to write. I know I've got one around here somewhere. I'm really tempted to do "Dean and Jess have the same birthday" fics in a few of my AU 'verses, but I may wait until their actual birthday just to make it more timely.

I'm morbidly amused by the Heroes spoilers concerning Claire and Peter and the shipper reactions. I mean, I think they're cute, too, but I also still believe my theory about Nathan being her biological father. My theory about Niki being her biological mother turned out to be a wash (they've already got another actress hired to play her) but they haven't ruled out that Claire might be a Petrelli, either through Nathan or Daddy Petrelli (even though something about that theory skeeves me). There's currently no other male Hero on the show with the right qualifications to be Claire's real bio-dad.

And okay, maybe I'm just a little morbidly amused about what's going to happen to all of the shippers when all of those spoilers about Peter and Claire never hooking up turn out to be because they're blood relatives. *snickers*

I stopped at Borders to see about picking up the Dexter books (although I'll probably do it after Christmas, just in case one of my relatives decides to give me a Borders gift certificate) and every single one was missing from the shelf. Heh.

I thought about signing up to do a Yuletide pinch hit, since I have between tomorrow morning at six and Christmas off, but I think I might just try to work on fic and that brothers story I still haven't gotten to work on much and the Books of Boggs.

Your "boy meets girl" clicky-to-reply is very apt for this entry.

They could be setting up a Luke & Leia (or uncle and niece) situation with Clair & Peter -- if you watch the scene with the two of them, it can easily be read as a big brother looking after a little sister kind of relationship. They have chemistry but it didn't necessarily feel like the actors were playing up the heat of sexual attraction. It was a lovely scene, they did click, but... I won't be skeeved out, the way I was when it was revealed that Luke & Leia were sibs.

Yeah, me neither. I'm seeing their chemistry as less romantic and more protective, too, although the people who do see it as sexual attraction ... well, maybe I'm waiting for the crash-and-burn of Claire turning out to be a Petrelli a little TOO much. Not that I'm much about tearing down anybody else's ships these days, but the resulting wank if it is true is going to make me snicker.

I'm entertaining myself with the thread about how people want to start a postcard campaign to make Peter/Claire canon. I doubt that Claire will turn out to be a Petrelli through Nathan, though, the way some seem to think it could go.

I think I like the Nathan angle because of his political run -- he's already got a shoplifting mother, a paralyzed wife, and a crazy mother, why not an illegitimate daughter? ;)

I won't be surprised if they make her Daddy Petrelli's daughter, though. Mostly I just want to see Nathan interact with her. I really think Nathan could use any opportunity they'll give him to soften up.

Sorry, I don't usually look for spoilers... So the spoiler is that Claire is somehow (blood) related to the Petrellis? Huh, okay. I was under the impression both her parents had been captured/"captured" by Mr. Bennet's organisation and they were both dead, but maybe I read that scene wrong.

I didn't think Peter/Claire was something the writers would ever consider making canon anyawy (in Season 1, at least) considering Peter must be in his mid/late 20s and Claire is 16. That might work on Buffy, but Heroes is a bit more real-world based, imho.

Nah, that spoiler is that they've already hired the actress to play her biological mother. And Mr. Bennet never said it was her mother that died, simply the woman that she was with. The Petrelli link is pure speculation at this point.

I like the idea of Mr. Bennett actually being Claire's Bio Dad. It wouldn't be terrible if she was a Petrelli. ;) And then fandom could have both slash and het Petrellicest. ;)

Also, stop saying these things about Claire/ Peter. It makes sense, but it is more skeev than I can take. I still think Jo is Sam's and Dean's half sister. So I am prone o thinking characetrs are relate and thus skeev factor... But Nathan being the daddy would explain a lot. (Personally, I don't think they'll go that way.)

Huh. If Nathan does turn out to be Claire's father... would HRG already know this? Because if he does know she's a Petrelli by blood, it would make his reaction to Peter this last episode all the more interesting.
