I am twenty-nine. My brother will turn twenty-one in April.

My mom? Still writing "From Santa" on all the Christmas presents.

HEEEEEE.

:-)

My parents? Give me Christmas and birthday cards from the dogs. Written in strangely neat handwriting for something purporting to come from the animals that ate many of my mother's books, also her office chair, and buried two pairs of her glasses in the bottom of the garden.

I'm giving them presents this year. A squeaky toy each, wrapped in torn, scrunched-up Christmas paper.

*snickers* My cat gave his "brothers" a present. Not that they gave him anything, but considering the way they bullied him when he was here that's actually in character. ;)

Quite possibly one of the most adorable things I have ever heard for this Christmas.

Heh. Dude, I'm going to be 38 in a few days and my sister will be 30 in March and my mom still gives us presents from "Santa."

Moms, they are so cute.

Yeah, I'm 25. Still get stuff from "Santa". And the dog. And the cat.
So, in turn I do the same to my mom. Give her stuff from "Santa" and the pets.
Even stranger? My mother buys presents for her animals and WRAPS THEM. Seriously. I always point out that the lack of opposable thumbs makes it a little hard for the dog and cat to unwrap shit.
Parents are strange creatures.

Mom always did this when I was a kid. We'd give them some assistance if necessary, but generally, if it was something they could smell, it really wasn't...

Well, shhhhhh...

You don't want to spoil it for her if she doesn't know yet. ;)

LOL! Mine does it but only with gag type gifts, she'll buy something goofy and put "from Santa" on it no matter who it's for. and our cats and dogs also "give" us presents too. :)

Heh, we still even put up stockings every year - I'm 24, my sister is 20, and not only do we put up the stockings, so do both my parents. Even the cats get one. It's just that now we all get to contribute to each other's stockings. (My stocking stuffers this year - cheap CDs from going out of business Towers! Yay!)

I'll be 32 in a few weeks.

My mother's policy is a strict "If you deny Santa, you get nothing." Therefore my brother and I have just learned to grin and bear it.

Yep. I'm 34, my sister's 29, and we still get presents from Santa. And since we've been remiss in giving my mom grandchildren, the pets get presents too. But it's the pets exchanging them. (in other words, Mom & Dad's kitties give presents to my cats & my sister's dog. My kitties give presents to their cats & her dog, etc.)

But this year, I'm spending the night (just like all my nights) at my grandmother's (not the one we normally stay with on Christmas eve), so I get to play Santa by putting out stockings for Grandmother & her sister.

*giggle* Mother-in-Law still does that, not only on our presents, but Father-in-Law's as well.

She's adorable.

Same here.

I get glares when I crack "My parents are Santa" jokes, too. Even when it's just the three of us.
