Three things

1. I've finally seen the preview for next week's Top Chef. *seethes* I really hope the judges tear them a new one for their behavior. What I really need is a pretty icon that says, "Top Chef: Now sponsored by Craftsman and Massengill, makers of fine tools and douchebags."

2. I've introduced my mom to Cute Overload. I may never see her, although I'm sure I'll hear the squealing and aww-ing from here.

3. It's hard to feel guilty about taking another personal day when I'm about to go make myself dinner and get myself a Smirnoff when I could be running around a factory dealing with more frustratingly broken machinery.

Heh. Yeah, I'm killing time until Ugly Betty and went looking for that popcorn one that won the style contest and the one with the notepad caught my eye. I think I own about twenty that look like that stuffed into bookbags and purses throughout my apartment. :)

Oh, it was at the end of the copy of the episode I downloaded. And I'll say this -- if it's like I suspect and they walk in with something intended to pick on Marcel -- like, say, their hair done like his or a fake soul patch like his or whatever -- I hope Gail throws a chair at every goddamn one of them. Bitch sounds pissed.

Aww, I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow morning to watch Ugly Betty and Grey's. I hate early classes. (I usually watch The Office and Supernatural when they're on and catch ABC shows online when they go up at 2 am.)

I have no idea why but... I had the thought that the prank they pull was shaving his head or something while he was sleeping. And, when they walked in and she said 'you're going to be surprised when you see them', they all had shaved their own heads to make it up to Marcel.

But that's only because I would find that hilarious.

I think that would be the only thing that would make me feel better if they did something like that. It would show that for once they might actually give a shit about the way they treat him.

On the other hand, Cliff's practically shaved already and Ilan's hair is pretty short too. The only guy whose hair is long enough for it to be a huge change is Sam, and it's so oily and gross shaving it could only be an improvement.

I have a feeling it's shaving his head, too. In which case I still hope the judges tear them a new one because that's just pathetic. Or better yet, Elia -- I've been waiting for her to snap and rip into them for treating Marcel like that for a while.

By this point, I have the list of Who I Want to Win Narrowed Down to Marcel or Elia. Or -- more importantly -- anyone but goddamn fucking Ilan.

Granted, Cliff and Sam are no fucking winners themselves, but Ilan is the one who is deliberately going *out of his way* to do shit, like make a fake foam (also, Padma? Don't encourage him! Don't make me miss the Katie Leebot!) or encourage Elia to throw Marcel under a bus.

Exactly. I was a little giddy when he got pointed out at the judges table for not being sociable enough as Front-of-House, particularly since Marcel has already shown on more than one occasion that he's personable and friendly with the people he's feeding. Say what you will about Marcel's cooking but he's good at interacting with guests.
