Okay, that was kind of awesome.

I just got finished watching Little Miss Sunshine.

Seriously, how cute was that?

Oh, man, Abigail Breslin is pretty much the most adorable thing on the planet. I just want to keep her and buy her lots of ice cream and rock out with her. And what I really need is an icon of Dwayne putting his hands under her armpits and lifting her off the ground to carry her up that one hill. I don't know why but that made me go, "D'AWWWW," and wibble.

Alternately, that beauty pageant could not be creepier if it tried. God knows I already get creeped out by child beauty pageants, not because of JonBenet but because of the special HBO did once on one random contestant. I just remember that she was this cute little blond girl who was gorgeous, up until the point when they slathered makeup on her face and teased her hair until she was six inches taller and made her smile in this painfully fake way that made me cringe. She was so cute and they -- her mom, the other parents, the guys who were "training" her -- just ruined that. I don't know ... I feel watching those beauty pageants like I do when I try to explain to everybody at work who has a Myspace -- which is, well, everybody -- why I can't stand Myspace. It's too flashy and bright lights and shiny smiles to distract from the fact that there's nothing there.

Er, I didn't not just use Little Miss Sunshine as an excuse to bitch about Myspace. That just happened.

Also, I just realized that Alan Arkin sounds a LOT like my grandfather. Heh.

God, I really hope this gets nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. And as many members of the cast as possible get acting noms. Wheeeee.

Oh, and tomorrow I'm off to go see Dreamgirls. I've been dying to go but I just really want to see it before the Golden Globes and the Oscar nominations.

Little Miss Sunshine has just become my favorite movie EVAR. My boyfriend rented it for me like 2 weeks ago when I got food poisoning, and NOTHING took away the pain better than that :).

I loved Little Miss Sunshine. Those beauty pageants are very disturbing. Just watching those little girls being airbrushed and turned into something that didn't even resemble a child any more gave me the creeps.

Her performance though, I loved it. I kept wondering what she was going to dance to and that, that just made me grin my ass off. Especially when she said it was for her grandpa.

Olive and Dwayne are like the cutest siblings EVER. (Yes, cuter than Sam and Dean, I'm sorry, but Sam and Dean get the title of the hottest siblings ever, so it's fair.)

I love them SO much. And I love how Olive got Dwayne to go back on the bus, how Dwayne silently cajoled Olive into eating ice cream, how Dwayne was so vehement about pulling Olive out of the pageant... AWWWW.

LMS was awesome beyond the telling of it. I saw it in the theater and the whole time they were making such a big deal of her routine, so I was really eager to see it and then when they showed it, I almost choked to death on my Raisinettes laughing.

Dreamgirls was really excellent too. Much better than I was expecting.

I absolutely loved this movie as well!!! I can't believe it wasn't a major movie movie because this was funny and heartwarming and the ending made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt for hours afterwards, which almost never happens to me. :)
