I went to the Barnes and Noble in Wilkes-Barre (Oh, my God, why did I leave?! Oh, right, because I would have moved in and spent my entire tax return) and saw "The Encyclopedia of Heavy Metal", and couldn't resist buying it.

Sweet Jesus dipped in chocolate, is it pretty.

*pets*

And I'm not keeping it.

What I'm saying is, where is the address for Dawn Ostroff that we're sending the rock salt to? Because I think I'm sending this instead. With a nice impassioned letter telling them that I love the show and I hope they keep it on the air and maybe if possible they could pass the book on to Jensen, since it's the closest thing to giving it to Dean..

EDIT: Never mind, I got it! :) *heads off to the post office to mail*

It was only twenty bucks, but it's GORGEOUS. I wanted to hug it and squeeze it and name it George, but instead I ran down to the post office and sent to Dean, or at least a reasonable facsimile of him, or at least the network head of a reasonable facsimile of him. ;)

You mean there's doubt that Supernatural is staying on?

Wow. Did Angel do that big a number on fandoms about fearing shows being non-renewed, or was that always a thing and I just didn't know? Was it Buffy? My first TV fandom was Angel, so I have not much of a history.

Heh. It's the CW, and it's a genre show. I don't think anybody's taking any chances. :)

True. Hey, odd question. How do you feel about VM season three so far? As a whole?

Eh, I've been having problems with it. I mean, there are still things that I love -- Veronica and Keith together, Keith in general (at least when they're allowing him to look competent), Mac, Weevil, Wallace and Dick when they get their moments onscreen, Piz and Parker as new characters. The dialogue alone's enough to keep my interest full-stop.

I do have some big problems with it, though. I miss the season-long arcs, even if the way they've concluded them (particularly in season two) was really lame. They're killing the Logan/Veronica relationship, and not in a "They're breaking up forever!" kind of way but in a "Jesus, I'm a 'shipper and even I'm getting tired of all this crap!" kind of way. The sidekicks aren't getting nearly enough screentime -- how much are we getting to see Wallace and Weevil again, and how long were we without Mac? I want to see Madison again about as much as I want to guzzle a bottle of rubbing alcohol, although if the baby switch were going to come out FINALLY, I might reconsider. What they're doing with their female characters lately is atrocious -- either they're whores or blushing virgins, and the only ones who've gone unscathed on that count are apparently the angry butch feminists who forced a plastic egg up an accused rapist's ass.

There's probably more that bothers me, but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I'm not giving up on it just yet, but ... *shrugs*

Why, your opinions sound remarkably like my own.

How would you like to help me in writing a half-alternate season three? I feel a lot like writing something that'll fix a lot of my annoyances, like a plot for Logan that doesn't involve Veronica, The Amazing Vanishing Wallace, freaking TROY (who should totally be here, hellooo) and Weevil as something more than exposition. Maybe just like one of the mini-mystery arcs, focusing on the mystery as the driving plot instead of relationship issues.

Would you be interested?

Dude, right there with you on your VM asessment. The Logan/Veronica thing is PISSING ME OFF. It's like, for fuck's SAKE!
Plus Madison=DEATH.
