Oh, man, this show.
Feb. 8th, 2007 10:00 pmDEWY SENSITIVE EYES.
I'm sorry, much like Sammy's porn and Magic Fingers, I don't think I will ever NOT laugh at that.
Most of my coherence has been lost to thoughts of "I'm going to crawl through the screen and make out with Evil!Sam like mad, people" and "Jared was fucking awesome tonight", but I did keep thinking of one thing for pretty much the entire episode.
Okay, so you know how in "Croatoan" at the end when the demon-possessed kid says into the cup of blood that "the Winchester boy" was immune to the whole demonic virus? I know we were supposed to think he meant Sam but there are two Winchester boys, and ... well, this episode didn't do much to keep me from thinking he was really talking about Dean. Why would they test Sam for immunity when they seem to know everything about him anyway? How could they not know that about him already? And I still don't get how Dean is supposed to shoot two people, one of whom he carries into his car and carries back out over his shoulder, and NOT get blood on him.
I'm probably wrong (I think I may have wasted all of my being-right-about-fandom-spec karma on Heroes), but STILL.

Date: 2007-02-09 03:36 am (UTC)Is there going to be evil!Sam porn after this?
Also, you may be right about Dean, but the fact remains that we KNOW Sam was exposed and didn't get infected. He was immune. Also, I don't know how subtle SPN is ever really going to be, but the demon actually meaning Dean in that instance seems a bit to sneakily subtle for them, in my experience. They do like to beat dead horses to be sure we 'get ' it.

Date: 2007-02-09 03:54 am (UTC)Like I said, I'm probably wrong, but the thing is that it seems weird that they would go to all that trouble to test if Sammy was immune to a demonic virus, something that we're told has only happened once before in the recorded history of this country, when tonight's episode makes it obvious that he's not immune to demonic possession. Which, okay, is not the same thing, but why test Sam for immunity to something when they've only used said virus once before? It especially doesn't make sense since we're talking about demons who have been watching Sam since he was a baby, who know his every move, his powers, etc., presumably because of what he is.
Plus, the phrasing is throwing me off. I mean, yeah, they're usually not that subtle. But the demons never refer to Sam like that. They always refer to him as "Sam" or "Sammy" to taunt him. "The Winchester boy" just sets off warning bells in my head every time I hear it.
Then again, I'm never right about this stuff, so ... *shrugs*

Date: 2007-02-09 04:02 am (UTC)You know, I never even thought about Dean being the one they were talking about being immune in Croatoan.
Interesting. Very, very interesting.
