So I've been foraging through the photos of arrivals on the red carpet.
So far, my favorite dress on the red carpet is Rinko Kikuchi's --

Look at that thing. It's practically painted on, and it's gorgeous. Just ... damn.

It really rather hate what this does to Emily Blunt's breasts. Maybe it looks better up close or in movement, but in the photos I've seen so far her left breast looks all perky and happy to be there while her right breast looks disappointed it wasn't nominated.

I don't know which I hate worse about this look, her hair or her dress. You remember that dress that Vincent made on Project Runway out of, like, construction paper or something, and it was so damn stiff his model would barely walk? This reminds me of that if Vincent had been given a roll of white linoleum and all the time in the world. And the hair. DEAR GOD, THE HAIR. My hair looks like that right now, but I'm waiting for it to dry so that I can curl it and then straighten it because it's the only way I can go out in public for the next two days without looking like a bag lady.

Oh, Jennifer. The girls at Go Fug Yourself are going to have a field day with this. You're the favorite for Best Supporting Actress and THIS is what you went out in? I kind of wish she'd found a way to get in touch with whomever is in charge of dressing Queen Latifah. Say what you will about Queen Latifah's movies but the woman can work her curves in a dress.

What's worse, the horrendous thing this does to her tits or the way it shoves her terrifyingly prominent ribs out onto center stage? I'm not even sure I like the color -- I feel like she played it safe with blue and then found a version of it that washes her out.

I have two comments for this one.
1. Oh, that's right. I need to buy toilet paper.
2. They have recycled newspaper fill for the chinchilla cages that comes in all different colors, and the pink one looks just like this.

Date: 2007-02-26 12:53 am (UTC)Poor Kirsten Dunst looks awful.
Helen Mirren looks like a goddess (as always).
What the fuck is that jacket Jennifer Hudson is wearing?
OMG... These people... What were they thinking? JLo is walking around carrying a corpse as a purse... Oh, wait... that's her husband.
I saw Jessica Biehl's nipple poking through... At least there was something of note going on with her dress.
I sort of like Jodie Foster's dress... it'd be prettier without the belt. Nice color, though.

Date: 2007-02-26 01:15 am (UTC)My hair looks better than Cameron Diaz's. And it needs cleaned. And brushed. Somehow this makes me feel better...
