apocalypsos: (me drinking)

... until I've got a couple more Smirnoffs in me and I'm ready to recap.

Ask me a question. Anything at all, just as long as it's not too personal.

Ok.

Boxers or briefs?

Chocolate or Vanilla?

Coke or Pepsi?

Dean or Sam?

Nathan or Peter?

Burger King or McDonalds?

Re: Ok.

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Hmmm.

Boxers -- It takes a special kind of man to make briefs look good and they're few and far between.

Vanilla -- Well, most of the time. Most of my shampoo and lotions and body sprays are vanilla, and I'll pick vanilla ice cream over chocolate, and ... well, vanilla.

Pepsi -- Definitely Pepsi. Always Pepsi. I bought Coke a few weeks ago because the store was out of Pepsi and I barely finished one bottle.

Dean -- I mean, I love Sam but Dean is so my kind of guy.

Nathan -- Peter's too damn emo. Nathan's hot, smart, and pissy. I like 'em pissy. :)

Burger King -- I worked there when I was in high school and you'd think that would have made me grow out of it, but it turns out that now if I have a choice I'll always choose Burger King, regardless of the creepy King commercials. *shudder*

Hm, lurker who you don't know, so I won't get too personal.

Do you like shnapps by any chance, and if so, do you like peppermint shnapps? ((You're drinking, I want to drink, and that's my drink of choice.))

Date: 2007-03-21 12:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Hmm. I don't think I've ever had schnapps. I mean, I might have -- when I was a teenager my relatives were all like, "Try this!" in an attempt to get me to find something I liked to drink (we're a wee bit liberal with the liquor in my family considering my grandpa was an alcoholic) so I got asked to try to a lot of stuff but I didn't like much of it. I don't like beer, wine or champagne and most other drinks are touch-and-go.

Date: 2007-03-21 12:18 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jira-rd.livejournal.com
Heh, well, fair warning. Most people hate peppermint shnapps, especially straight, but I love it and have developed a tolerance for the very intense taste.

Also - it's anywhere from 30 to 55%, on assorted bottles I've seen, and what my friend has told me. Fair warning if you're a lightweight with liquor. I can drink a bottle and be somewhat sober, but my friend had two shots and was giggling all over the place.

Wee for silly drunks! ... I'll shut up now. Or ask another quick question.

Have you ever heard of Caramel Creams or eaten them and agree they are delicious candies that should be more common?

Date: 2007-03-21 12:41 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Hmm. Caramel creams sounds familiar, like something I ate when I was a kid, in which case they should damn well be more common than they are. (Says she who can't go more than two weeks without Swedish fish. Oh, penny candy, I miss you so!)

From: [identity profile] jira-rd.livejournal.com
My mommy and I still go to this sweet old penny candy store a few towns over. So nice. I am a sucker for chocolate covered raisins and sunflower seeds.

Swedish fish seriously must have constituted half my junior high lunches.

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
As I have told my best friend I am not allowed to go to the grocery store and buy Swedish fish in bulk because even if I bought, like, three pounds of it, I'd eat it all in a day and a half.

*giggles*

Oh, don't worry. I have an addiction as well.

I'd eaten two bags in two days before I took the picture. :P

Hah, that's my mother. She like, hoards them at halloween. It's slightly scary.

BTW, sorry for spamming your journal with comments. :p

Heh. I blame my dad for my pumpkin seed addiction because I was raised with the damn things as a constant presence in our house. The Indian Heads ones you eat whole, the Davis ones are fat enough to suck on before you shell 'em and eat the insides. :)

My kid brother was on a peppermint shnapps kick for a while. He used to mix it with chocolate milk.

It was good, but slightly too heavy for my tastes.

Is that you in the icon, and what are you drinking?

Also, what do you like best & least about where you live?

Date: 2007-03-21 12:19 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Yup, that's me (about three haircuts ago, although give this one a couple of weeks and it'll look much the same) and that's Smirnoff Grape. It's my favorite. :)

Hmm. What I like best ... well, it's quiet most of the time and you know everybody and it's really pretty in the fall when the leaves change color. Oh, and I love taking walks on Main Street in the middle of the night when I'm awake and no one else is ... that's kind of cool. Of course, on the down side you have to have a license and a car to do anything around here. Otherwise you're stuck in your house and it's really hard to get a job because you have to drive twenty minutes to get anywhere worth going to.

Favorite season of Project Runway?

And! Bonus question! Favorite episode of SPN thus far?

Date: 2007-03-21 12:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
For the fashion, season one. For the designers, season two. I have a deep and abiding love for anything Austin, Kara Saun and Jay ever designed, EVER, and yet season two was the first time I ever wrote RPS. (Daniel V./anything that stands still long enough but mostly Andrae FTW!)

Oh, man, that's so hard. I want to say "Skin" because, you know, two Deans (*shrugs* I'm easy), but ... um, three-way tie for first.

-- "Nightshifter", because of the ending. OMG, that ending. *swoons*
-- "Devil's Trap", because Kripke is a rat bastard for doing that to us before summer break, and yet. *swoons again*
-- "Hell House", because the pranks kill me but Sam's "HA!" smirk when Dean picked up the beer bottle makes me lose it without fail.

Hee, your glee about the eps makes ME happy. How great is that?

(Dude. I totally feel the same way! I love the fashion in season 1, but I really loved the people in season 2.)

It's like picking a favorite child, except, you know, not. :)

Oh, my God, that outfit in Jay's collection with the purple tights? WAAAAANT. There are very few outfits I've wanted on that show more than that one, except perhaps for that brown dress of Michael's from the dog show. And yet I think I shipped everybody in the guys' room who wasn't Santino and I never did get around to writing the fic with the title "35D Is A Den Of Motherfucking Iniquity" where everybody else is fucking all over the damn place and Santino is all suspicious but of course they're not because they all have boyfriends.

From: [identity profile] lyra-wing.livejournal.com
Austin always made the dresses I wanted to wear. The poofy-skirt, classic style. I love that look, hee. (And how appropriate is it that he designs wedding dresses now? I totally want an Austin Scarlet wedding dress.) And I liked Jay's Empire State Building dress. I remember loving a LOT of Daniel's stuff but one piece doesn't really come to mind.

"35D Is A Den Of Motherfucking Iniquity"

Ahhh! Write it! I'd read it! :)

(What's with the icon? Something wanky happening? I miss all the fun stuff.)

Date: 2007-03-21 01:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Oh, an Austin wedding dress would be awesome. I'd kill for one, except I'd probably demand he make it out of corn husks just because that was a dress I would never wear and yet am head over heels in love with simply for existing that one time.

You know what I remember loving with little happy hearts? Andrae's gutter dress. When he finally stopped bursting into tears at the drop of a hat he designed some really gorgeous stuff.

You know what's really awesome? My uncle wrote a book about the history of blue jeans and he got Tim Gunn to write a positive blurb for the back of the book. And then he read excerpts at Parsons. To say I spazzed would be an understatement. :)

Heh. *snickers* I think I'd need a refresher at this point. I haven't seen any Project Runway since ... oh, man, since the end of season three. That's a little terrifying, actually, considering who ended up at Olympus Fashion Week. I can still wail about what the hell Michael must have been thinking, right? There's no statute of limitations on that, I hope?

(It's just something sarcastic [livejournal.com profile] esorlehcar said in response to the whole [livejournal.com profile] azewewish thing on Fandom Wank. I'm not sure if the wank deserved to make it that far just yet but the line itself made me spray Pepsi all over my computer monitor so I desired an icon and one magically appeared like unicorns and leprechauns. :))

Date: 2007-03-21 01:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lyra-wing.livejournal.com
Oh! I liked that gutter dress, too, come to think of it.

Your uncle is so freaking awesome, omg. Does he work in fashion? (Did you get to go to Parsons when he did the reading?)

Speaking of icons, I now FINALLY know where your flaily dinosaur comes from. Ahahahah.

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
I swear, by the time Andrae left I wanted to keep him like a puppy. I think it was the spectacular leaps from the spinning door at the Atlas. Every time he did it in those little yellow shorts, I was all, "WHEEEE!" :)

Nah, he's not in fashion, but his wife used to work for Levi's when they still lived in San Fran. I was dying to go with him to Parsons but no dice, alas. *sigh* (I never even got to meet him until last year, and we didn't even know about him until about six or seven years ago. If I had known him when I was growing up I probably would have worshiped the ground he walked on -- when we met we spent a good hour or so talking about writing and how I could never write nonfiction like he does and how he could never write fiction like I do and his next project and me trying to get published and we were all, "OMG I'M RELATED TO OTHER WRITERS!" on one another.)

Every time I see that commercial on TV now I have to stop what I'm doing and flail my arms along with it. :)

Do ya know if there are gonna be baby chinchillas yet? Or is that too personal?

Date: 2007-03-21 12:31 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Nope, don't know yet. I cleaned the cage tonight and had to take her out so I kind of held her tummy for a minute to see if I felt anything but I couldn't tell. I'm probably not going to know until she pops some out, and the earliest she'd do that is the very last days of May.

And nah, that's not too personal. God knows if I do end up with babies, I'll take five million pictures and send them to Cute Overload anyway. :)

Okay, let's see.

2 boys -- Jensen Ackles (yeah, shocker) and John Krasinski. I know, I know, I could take both SPN boys, but I figured I'd shake it up a bit. :)

4 books -- The Stand, Lamb: The Gospel According To Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers, and Good Omens.

5 foods -- Pepsi, sweet potato chips, bacon, smoked kielbasa, white chocolate

Something from the Danielle-Steel-TV-movie-for-Lifetime arena. Ben Affleck's in it when he was a toddler or something with this ridiculous bouffant. I want to marry it, honestly.

Do the chinchillas and the cat get along? Has he tried to eat them? (I mean, I know he has no teeth, but still.)

They get along fine, considering Elliot and Emmett don't give a damn about him (well, Elliot's curious, but Elliot's curious about everything) and Otis virtually ignores them. I mean, last week I put Elliot down on Otis's window seat right in front of him and he just gave Elliot this cursory look and moved on.
