All this talk of appetizers and Polish snacky food and Chinese food and chicken wings and ...

*stomach growls*

I am very small, I tell you! Only so much food fits into me!

And before I forget, this is me saving my mom's recipe for pizza dip: A bag of monterey jack cheese, a package of cream cheese, a can of chili without beans. Mix, nuke, eat with nachos. The end. :)

I need to go eat pierogies and kielbasa now. MMMMMM.

I hope your pierogies are better than mine that exploded yesterday!

Just felt I had to mention that in my reading list page, the post just above yours was essentially a poll about whether edge-of-pan or middle-of-pan brownies were preferable.

Tonight's dinner: potato pancakes remixed (not grated finely and mixed with egg and flour and onion and cheese - grated coarsely instead and sprinkled with cheese which then melts into a gooey awesomeness.) Pierogies and kielbasa sound awesome, but I'm far too lazy to go to the grocery store to get some. I might stop by the Polish deli tomorrow and pick up some real kielbasa. *drools*

Mmmmmmm, potato pancakes. :)

I have a little grocery store two blocks down from my apartment that has really yummy kielbasa, and I settled for Mrs. T's pierogies. I was really hoping for the pierogies from the local place that makes 'em with steak and cheese or buffalo chicken, but alas. *pouts*

Oooh, I've never had those stuffings. I usually go for the standard cottage cheese and potatoes, or cabbage and mushrooms or meat if I get them from the Polish deli (or if someone makes them). My grandma used to make strawberry-stuffed ones, and my stepmom makes them with blueberries. Oh, man, now I have a craving...

Add some onions to that dip and that's Cincinnati-style chili dip. Mmm, Dixie Chili... think I'll go make some coneys.

I discovered pierogies and kielbasa at some church festival my ex dragged me to a million years ago. Good stuff. We had to go because the ex just couldn't pass up the concept of a 'Polka Mass'.

My son loves 'em, too but we can only cook 'em when Mom isn't home.
