I know you're trying to kill time so that you can stay awake and not have to worry about being tired tomorrow night at work, but perhaps digging up the link for the Virtual Oregon Trail game is detrimental to ever doing anything else again.

Also, try playing more recent games. Between this and the Nintendo ROMs on your laptop, I worry.

I started to play, selected banker as I always do, and got to the first river.

Then my 'n' key refused to work when they asked if I wanted to look around. All my keys refused to work.

I'm pretty sure that's a default, built-in Tombstone. Not as much fun as discovering classmate Peter died in the very first river.

By the way--if you want to play it without the touchiness of the virtual emulator, go here for the game and here for the emulator (if you're on windows, anyway). Problem solved, hours of space-bar joy before you.

Don't bother shooting the rabbits or skunks. They foul your shooting window and aren't really worth it, meat-wise.

I was going to say ther's nothing wrong with Oregon Trail and the Nintendo ROMs and all that -- but it's now 11:47 and I have done maybe 1/10 work for 9/10 playing Oregon Trail, so it's possible there is something very wrong with it. Oy.
