Because it's now a cat bed, that's why.

Meanwhile, 28 Weeks Later was fucking SWEET, and it scared the hell out of me. And the one actress in it was so damn pretty that now I'm horribly tempted to change my "female lead and male sidekick on a road trip" story into a "two average chicks on the run" story.

[Poll #985998]

The great thing is that I finally figured out what the hell I want to do with it, so YAY!

Anyway, now I have seen spazzy gory zombie attacks and I've been scared out of my wits, so I'm ready for Ben in a ninja costume sneaking up on people at the mall and trimming their hair or whatever.

EDIT: Ooo, ooo! And a meme from [livejournal.com profile] taraljc:

Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

Oooo.

Sam Winchester. :D?

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
1. Sam didn't know how to decorate his apartment with Jess. Like, at all. He knew what a space needed -- places to sit, food in the kitchen, toiletries in the bathroom -- but outside of the bare necessities he was clueless. The Winchesters moved so much decorations weren't kept and moved with them.

The first time Jess brought home cheap posters from a flea market and strings of lights when it wasn't Christmas Sam just kind of stood by helpless until she used him to hang the lights. He was just getting used to having things he didn't actually NEED in his apartment when it burned.

2. Sam was good at every class he took but his weakest were the sciences. He could pass them and do well without help but he found the best way to retain the information for tests and things was to casually let Dean see what homework he was doing and Dean would just go off on a happy little tangent about how cool that particular chemistry formula was or whatever.

3. One thing Sam and Jess disagreed on was the quality of Sex and the City. Jess hated it. Sam was horribly, embarrassingly addicted.

*Cracks up*

Yes. Sammy watching Sex and the City is deeply, deeply perfect. Also, I'm now imagining Jess using him like a Christmas tree, with the lights and all, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

The Haitian Sensation.

Date: 2007-05-16 08:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Heh. :)

1. The Haitian never brought up the mute thing. He was traumatized when the Company first obtained him and found that when people thought he couldn't speak they were far more open around him than they would otherwise be. Even then he knew it would come in useful, so he stayed silent on purpose for that reason.

2. The Haitian has never had sex. Women hit on him all the time and pass him their numbers at bars, but he always tosses them and wipes the memory of him from their minds. There's always a more important mission at hand.

3. He is a vegetarian but he's also got a sweet tooth. Bennet knew the former very well but never found out about the latter because the Haitian always snuck candy when no one was around.

Awww, mrow! You could spend hundreds of dollars on fancy cat beds, and I bet he wouldn't go near a one of them. Mine sleep in an upturned vanity stool with a rug in the bottom. It got put aside like that on moving day 2 years ago and I haven't been able to use the stool since then because apparently it's the best cat bed around.

For the meme... Jack Harkness.

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Hrm. Okay, considering I've only seen the first episode of Torchwood ...

1. Jack understands full well that there has to be a damn good reason the Doctor and Rose left him behind. He knows that, because there's no other reason they would just LEFT, and yet it's one of the most hurtful things that's ever happened to him.

2. Jack will very rarely turn down sex from anyone. Reasons for which he will reluctantly turn down a sexual liaison involve megalomaniacal tendencies, extreme age, and excessive body hair on Chewbacca levels.

He likes being in relationships, though. It's like an SAT after a long series of pop quizzes.

3. Jack misses Rose more than the Doctor. He feels like he has less of a chance of ever seeing her again.

Thinking about a story with two female leads on a roadtrip gives me Thelma and Louise flashbacks in a very bad way.

Yeah, I may do two sidekicks now, depending on who the plotting works out. I really like the thought of a male sidekick, like Wallace to Veronica, and at the same time I can totally see that girl from the movie in the backseat of the car. Hrm.

1. Hiro still doesn't think his father has a power. Not that he's had much time to stew on it just yet, but if pressed he wouldn't think that knowing how to swordfight counts, and nothing else would occur to him.

Posing the question would make him picture his dad in a Buffy outfit, though, so that's probably part of it.

2. Even with everything that's gone on Hiro's got enough sense to realize his "Flying Man" and Peter Petrelli are related, and are probably brothers because of their age, but he doesn't like to dwell on it because it makes him wonder about his sister and he really wants her to stay in charge of the family company where she's safe and happy.

3. Hiro has had a more active sex life than you'd think. He's usually the sweet one-night-stand women feel really guilty about having led on.

Oooh!

Future!Peter Petrelli.

Date: 2007-05-17 12:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
1. The only reason Future!Peter is not a raging alcoholic is because he holds a secret fear that he'll snap and New York will happen all over again.

2. Future!Peter is positive that he and Niki are two shattered people whose pieces just happened to get dumped into the same pile and that if they were both happy they would never have gotten together. He does love her but seeing their relationship the way he does means it's more easy for him to throw it away.

3. Nathan once asked Peter after the bomb how it felt to be the most powerful man on the planet and end up misusing that power. Peter punched him in the face, Nathan yelled for his security, and they hadn't spoken since.

"female lead and male sidekick on a road trip" story

For serious? You're writing one too?

Date: 2007-05-17 12:58 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Heh. Sort of. I don't know. I know I want to write a road trip (too much Supernatural), and a girl and her guy sidekick (too much Veronica Mars), and I'm not sure if I want to combine them together or toss in both sidekicks or what. The only thing I know for sure is:

Female lead + buddy in the passenger seat + road trip = \o/

From: [identity profile] laurelin-kit.livejournal.com
Between Supernatural and Death Proof I am now in love with classic cars and the idea of a road trip, and that's all I want to do myself, so I figured I might as well write one.

Road trip \o/ indeed!

I chose female lead with female sidekick because I think you could really rock that and make it your own.

For the meme: Dean Winchester and Alec. I can't choose. :-)

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Well, since I've never seen any Dark Angel episode that's not "The Berrisford Agenda", I'll do Dean. :)

1. Dean's not as concerned about the health content of what he eats because he's positive he's going to die young anyway and he might as well eat the chili cheese fries while he can.

2. His mom barely acknowledging him before going to Sam in "Home" hurt. I mean, he gets that Sam's never gotten to see her and he should, and now that he's had Fake!Mom in his head he feels a little better about the whole thing, but it still leaves a dull ache when he thinks about it.

3. The assumptions that they're gay don't bother Dean because he's bothered by gay people or anything. He's SO not. He's very "to each his own" about sex. What bothers him is that he can see the physical resemblances between the two of them and he doesn't get how anyone could miss it. He'd be surprised if he found out just how many people they've met don't believe they're related at all.

Someone took Future!Peter - can I request Present-Day Peter? :-)

Date: 2007-05-17 01:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Heh. Okay.

1. Peter loves the fact that he and Claire are related. He's never been this instantly and completely close to a member of his family, not even with Nathan. It's a fantastic feeling he desperately needs in very trying times.

2. Peter only uses his powers when he has to because it's extremely overwhelming to him just how powerful he is. He wanted to be special but sometimes he thinks this is eally pushing it.

3. The idea of being superheroes with Claire is ridiculously appealing to Peter, as long as they don't wear costumes. In the car during the escape from the FBI Peter made cracks about the two of them fighting crime together that were more serious than Claire thought they were, but they made her relax a little, so he didn't correct her.
