See, there's a reason I don't hate Tabatha and Tyson's adversarial relationship. It's like Tabatha said -- it's not that she doesn't respect him as a hairdresser. She understands that he's very good and when he wins challenges she smiles and claps with everybody else. But she does so with the understanding that he gets on her nerves and drives her up a wall and while he's good she knows him well enough to know that she doesn't want to work with him. Nothing wrong with that. And he takes her throwing him roadbloacks (like giving him the Elizabethan box) as her giving him a challenge, and in a way she is. I think she'd agree with his assessment that giving him that box meant she thought he would either fail spectacularly or do wonderfully, although I think she'd see it more as there being no way for him to win that challenge other than going all out.

I really think about Tabatha and Tyson's relationship a LOT. Sad, really.

In summation ... NINJA BEN.

But -- but -- what is Tyson DOING? Is it just me or is that hair he's doing like, Big Foofy 1970s Texas Hair??

I think I may want to be Tabatha when I grow up.

Never mind I'm older than she is. Feh.

Yeah, okay, that was a little terrifying. I don't even get how something could look big and poofy AND like it'd give you pulled-back-hair headache at the same time. And yet ...

The mother of the bride looks dreaful. Yipes.

I love the way Daisy and Anthony's 'dos turned out.

That was the BEST. And Tyson just standing there with his poor little smile on his face all, "Aww, I thought she liked me." No, sweetie, not so much. *pats him on his thinning bleached head*

Now I'm even more pissed at how much Top Design sucked because TWoP needs to be recapping it.

I just cannot get over Daisy's bride style. *swoons*

Winners were pretty clear here, yep.

It interests me how deftly Tabatha and Tyson demonstrated the value of just getting OVER yourself. *rolls eyes* They just screwed themselves, totally. Although god, I don't blame Tabatha for being utterly squicked by Tyson. I mean, the combover PLUS the incessant mention of his mother, and I was all, Euw.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

*wibbles*

I will say one thing for this show, though. I may not like who gets eliminated but I've never been able to argue that they weren't the worst. I've sometimes had issues with who won but they're very good about getting rid of exactly the person(s) who deserves it.

Somebody on TwoP just said it may be the most fairly judged show of this type ever, and I gotta agree. Tyson and Tabatha as a team was an utter disaster, and Tabatha was truly crippled by her hatred of him. *shrug* Boogie is sure getting overbearing. I would HATE having someone like him cut my hair -- he doesn't listen.

Good grief. I NEVER watch reality shows. This one is just addictive. ::facepalm::

And the best part of tonight? They just got rid of their biggest drama between competitors by getting rid of both of them at once. When does that EVER happen? Inevitably they end up keeping the one causing the most drama just for said drama until the very end, but now it's GONE and the worst thing they've got is "Daisy talks too much" and "Dr. Boogie's turning into an overbearing idiot." Which, really, is not that bad at ALL.

I'm just amazed. I'm willing to give a decent reality show a chance but The Amazing Race has gotten to the point where it's less about the racing and more about the friction between teams and the Bravo creative reality shows were starting to develop worse and worse judging and casting.

Why the hell is the hairstyling show the best reality show I've seen in years?!

*twirls happily*

I was really, really surprised that they'd do a double elimination. (Yes, I still want to call it a Philimination. That really has some sticking power.)

I really like Anthony and Daisy, and I think Boogie has great skills. I wonder about Ben -- he's just too wishy-washy for me, and I think he's gone a long way toward proving that staying safely in the middle and not really doing too much either direction will keep you in the game longer. Although whether or not it SHOULD is up for debate. *g*

I think it'll come down to Daisy and Boogie. I'd vote for -- shit, I dunno. I was such a Tab fan, except for her slightly psychotic Tyson-fixation, that now I'm all ::flail:: ::buh!::

I hate Tyson for taking away Tabatha. She was my favorite by a mile.

O_O Since when do reality shows actually judge fairly? And why when I have a favorite in a bad team? Now who'm I supposed to root for?

Tabatha, to me, seemed to be, by far, the best hairstylist. She had done so much amazing work. Tyson was talented, too, but it also seemed to me that he made some really poor choices in this challenge. It seemed like he did the mother and the matron of honor which were the two really really shitty pieces. Still, I felt like overall, Tabatha and Tyson were both more talented than Boogie and Ben. I thought Boogie should have been off a long time ago (he talks a big talk but he doesn't seem to deliver the way he thinks he does. I think he's a little OVERconfident). And Ben... I like him, but he isn't particularly strong. It's disappointing to me, because I feel like the final few are going to be a lot less talented than I would have hoped. I think Tabatha deserved to win... I'm really sad she's out. I pretty much watched the show for her. I can't argue that they should have eliminated Ben and Boogie for this challenge though because they clearly did a better job than Tabatha and Tyson. It's just a real shame that they had to have a partner competition with them together. I'm really upset. Argh!
