Oh, big gay hairstyling show.

See, there's a reason I don't hate Tabatha and Tyson's adversarial relationship. It's like Tabatha said -- it's not that she doesn't respect him as a hairdresser. She understands that he's very good and when he wins challenges she smiles and claps with everybody else. But she does so with the understanding that he gets on her nerves and drives her up a wall and while he's good she knows him well enough to know that she doesn't want to work with him. Nothing wrong with that. And he takes her throwing him roadbloacks (like giving him the Elizabethan box) as her giving him a challenge, and in a way she is. I think she'd agree with his assessment that giving him that box meant she thought he would either fail spectacularly or do wonderfully, although I think she'd see it more as there being no way for him to win that challenge other than going all out.
I really think about Tabatha and Tyson's relationship a LOT. Sad, really.
In summation ... NINJA BEN.

Date: 2007-05-17 02:38 am (UTC)I think I may want to be Tabatha when I grow up.
Never mind I'm older than she is. Feh.

Date: 2007-05-17 02:50 am (UTC)Now I'm even more pissed at how much Top Design sucked because TWoP needs to be recapping it.
I just cannot get over Daisy's bride style. *swoons*

Date: 2007-05-17 02:57 am (UTC)It interests me how deftly Tabatha and Tyson demonstrated the value of just getting OVER yourself. *rolls eyes* They just screwed themselves, totally. Although god, I don't blame Tabatha for being utterly squicked by Tyson. I mean, the combover PLUS the incessant mention of his mother, and I was all, Euw.

I will say one thing for this show, though. I may not like who gets eliminated but I've never been able to argue that they weren't the worst. I've sometimes had issues with who won but they're very good about getting rid of exactly the person(s) who deserves it.

Date: 2007-05-17 03:03 am (UTC)Good grief. I NEVER watch reality shows. This one is just addictive. ::facepalm::

Date: 2007-05-17 03:12 am (UTC)I'm just amazed. I'm willing to give a decent reality show a chance but The Amazing Race has gotten to the point where it's less about the racing and more about the friction between teams and the Bravo creative reality shows were starting to develop worse and worse judging and casting.
Why the hell is the hairstyling show the best reality show I've seen in years?!
*twirls happily*

Date: 2007-05-17 03:16 am (UTC)I really like Anthony and Daisy, and I think Boogie has great skills. I wonder about Ben -- he's just too wishy-washy for me, and I think he's gone a long way toward proving that staying safely in the middle and not really doing too much either direction will keep you in the game longer. Although whether or not it SHOULD is up for debate. *g*
I think it'll come down to Daisy and Boogie. I'd vote for -- shit, I dunno. I was such a Tab fan, except for her slightly psychotic Tyson-fixation, that now I'm all ::flail:: ::buh!::
