On the plus side, I got to ride the roller coaster I was dying to ride last year, and YES. YESYESYES. Oh, man, I could have stayed on that thing for the rest of the day. Wheeeee!

The minus side came when after we rode one more roller coaster I got seriously sick. Like, I threw up four times in the next three restrooms we passed. By the time I finally cracked and went up to the first aid office to lie down, the guy signing me in and I preceded to have this conversation:

First Aid Guy: "So, have you thrown up today yet?"
Me: "Yup, four times."
First Aid Guy: "Four times?! And you're only just coming in now?"
Me: "Well, I didn't want to ruin anybody else's good time."
First Aid Guy: "So you walked around the park for an hour and a half puking your guts out?"
Me: "Um ... yes?"

Really, the only person whose good time I might have ruined was my brother's, and since the first aid office was right next to an arcade ... yeah, he was perfectly content and I don't know what the hell I was thinking.

HEE. Oh, I used to hate roller coasters when I was a kid. My dad had to negotiate with me to get me onto them. The little kid ones were obviously safe, so if they were safe the ones that didn't loop were okay, and if the ones that didn't loop were okay the ones that did should be okay, too.

But now I love them to pieces. I mean, it's a cheap quick adrenaline rush and this is seriously the only time I've ever gotten sick because of them, and even THAT wasn't enough to make me want not to get in line for another one. :)

Now, skydiving and bungee-jumping? I can't see the fun in those at ALL.

Er, are you ok?

After the first three bouts of toilet worship, what did you have left to lose? It sounded like you were sick sick, not motion sick. Was it just a serious need of Dramamine?

Unless you're pregnant? Hmm. That might not be a bad thing. The next Jesus, the virgin birth to a mother who writes gay incest porn. Might make the Religious Wrong finally shut up about that Adam and Steve crap.

I think the only reason it took four times for me to stop was because I was so self-conscious about throwing up in a public bathroom every time I heard some woman on the other side of the divider between the toilets talking to her kid my throat would stop working. So I kept leaving the restrooms before I could finish.

Plus, this isn't the first time I've been really ridiculously motion-sick -- my parents discovered just how motion-sick I could get on my first plane trip to Florida when I was a kid where I spent the entire ride puking. Usually it only happens with plane trips, though -- I'm fine on roller coasters for the most part.

Sounds like you were shaken when you should've been stirred.

That was very, very nice of you to walk around for 90 minutes with Chuck just to not ruin anybody else's good time.

I hope it didn't turn out to be serious and that it was just "too many roller coasters."

[I don't do roller coasters. I don't equate terror with thrills.]

Sounds like what happened to me that last time I went to an amusement park.
