Boy, am I really lucky that I took a vacation day today.

Because apparently that motion sickness from the roller coasters wasn't motion sickness.

And no, before anybody makes the usual crack to the admitted virgin, I'm not knocked up. For crying out loud. Just because a woman's throwing up doesn't mean she might be pregnant, and quite frankly it's usually rude to say as much. It's like assuming that a woman's got PMS because she's yelling at you. No, sometimes it's not her fault -- you're just being a dicksmack.

... yeah, okay, so maybe I'm in a really bad mood today, too.

I'm guessing a stomach flu or something, because it kinda feels a lot like that. I'm not all running-into-the-bathroom-to-hurl like I was yesterday, but I have a really annoying headache and I'm dog-tired and even though I ate a grilled cheese sandwich earlier I have that feeling like if I try to eat anything else right now it's going to come right back up. Which sucks, because I really want to work on my Sweet Charity fics and get them out of the way today and instead all I want to do is sleep until work tomorrow night.

Something must be going around because everyone I've talked to has felt like crap over the weekend. I woke up with a bad stomach ache yesterday and then had a headache last night. And I haven't really eaten much all weekend.

Ah, the requisite, "Could you be pregnant?" question. Along with it's necessary follow-up, "Are you sure?" I had about a year and a half solid of food poisoning at my last school (any time I ate anything there I got it) and every day I went into the nurses office that was the first thing they said. People are idiots.

Take your time with my fic, I'm getting booted offline again today and don't know when the next time I'll be able to get on is (except for Big Bang posting, of course) so don't feel pressured to get mine done anytime soon.

Y'know, I think I puked twice when I was pregnant. TWICE.

It's not that I didn't have morning sickness, it's just that, for a lot of people, morning sickness is more like feeling extremely hungover for three months. Puking != pregnant, people! Sheesh.

If someone was talking about needing to nap all the time, on the other hand? That'd ping the "Hey... you don't happen to be knocked up, do you?" curiousity.

Another thing to blame movies and TV for, that nausea is the big onscreen signal to expect a pregnancy to be announced, so people keep expecting it to work that way IRL.
