My mom and great-aunt just showed up out of the blue so my mom could ask me to drive her to the hospital tomorrow for her shots for her herniated disc.

My apartment? Still a pigsty.

I wouldn't get into these situations if I would get up off my ass and straight up my goddamn apartment. Seriously.

Well, my landline's broken and my cell phone was off, so at least they had that as an excuse. But honestly, my front door is at the bottom of the steps, not the front of the apartment, so there was no reason to come upstairs when they knew damn well what they'd find. (Not even to see the cat, who would have come running eventually.)
